I did a quick look - where does it say that this is a PMOLED, and not an AMOLED?
Keep in mind, there aren't three types (PMOLED, AOMLED, OLED), it is either active or passive, and i really doubt a monitor today would be passive.
grit - don't forget that with your 2311h, you have next day advance replacement. Call CS, and get a different one. Not every monitor is the same. Call back and demand a replacement.
I tried this as well, but no luck in getting the email. However, I went online, and talked to a sales person, and they offered me the U2211H for almost 20% off (235 shipped + tax). No harm in asking, especially if you point out that you are willing to buy should you be able to get the discount.
I don't see why not. After all - the AG is added to the panel, but really not required. It is quite possible that Dell and NEC, when making an order, specify certain things like that, given that they are ordering batches large enough to make it worth LG's time. Only LG, Dell, and NEC could say...
I hate piping in too much, since (again) i have the 22", not the 23", but i am another case that got a perfect monitor. Only the most minor tinting on the right side, with no bleed. I am not sure about the 23", but the 22" are shipping A01, so i doubt the 23" is far behind; if you can wait for...
I have the U2211, and so far so good. I have no visible backlight bleed, and only the slightest bit of purple tingeing at extreme horizontal angles.
I was able to get the 2211 for 228 w/ free shipping, so it was a great deal for me.
Just some food for thought.
People, and more especially, dont post threats for no reason. As you can imagine (and possibly see), there can be severe reprocussions to such actions. Such actions (and threats) are not made lightly.
So whats my point? Well, there is more to this story, and...
Well, seeing that you made it a point that i "walked into a thread", you DID make the point about posts. Illregardless...
I too have a friend in Comp, and have been told the opposite. The cards will be in store, just like EVERY other series behind them. And right now, i see no proof behind...
If you think that is my first post in this thread, look again. And this is most certainly NOT my only involvement in all of this...

While i didnt check the code (A07), my store shows thw Quantity of 6800U's (as of today) as -1.. that is on thier computer system. I REALLY doubt they are hiding the cards from us guys, as they wont leave them out of the inventory (and the person who works there has no real reason to lie to...
I dont know.. i have heard alot of reports that the 6800's have been temporarilly withdrawn from thier system.
The best way to check, is to go to the store, and just be up front with the manager.. :)
That makes no sence, seeing that the stores will be getting cards. I bet on the 1st, that A07 will change... If it looks like it wont fly, ill just demand a GT for 280 instead on the 2nd...im not really worried though..
Your prepaying for them.. as in, buying htem before they get them.. Basically, it is a preorder, without a specific card reserved in your name. The fact that they are in their system, and available for prepay (illregardless of the discount), means that we should get the prepay...

Uh.. supposedly BB already has the cards, AS Scott said. Maybe when you have $400 in the hands of people you dont know, and frankly dont trust, you can come back and tell people to calm down...
If you ever see him again, be sure to mention that the manager in Monclair was ordered to offerer the price after a customer complained on the website... ;)
No, because you dont preorder.. your prepay (raincheck, basically). You pay for the card now, and pick it up when it is in stock. The difference, is that you dont have one specifically reserved for you...
Uh.. hello? Have you read the thread at all? BFG isnt shippign the cards. Best BUy is. And best Buy wont ship the cards at LEAST until teh 6th, if not later. So, right now, Scott could tell us we will have the cards tommorow, and it wont mean a damned thing untill BB ships them for real...
any idea if such would be true for other brands like PNY (where CompUSA says ships on the 1st, and some people have already recieved thier cards straight from PNY already)?
