So the 9800 GTX is to the 8800 GTX what the 3870 is to the 2900XT. By that I mean a slight increase in speed and less power consumption. I'm going to keep waiting to upgrade my X1900XT. I want a single GPU card that is more powerful than a 9800 GTX.

When has ATI or NVidia changed the first number in the card name for a die shrink? The rumors are that the R700 is due out in Q2 2008. Anybody else think this means that the true next gen is going to be delayed to at least Q3?

The one thing I haven't heard much speculation about is the price and models. I'm guessing there will be a X2800XT and maybe a X2800XTX. We can probably expect the R600 to sell for $500-600, right? Do you think it could go even higher if it spanks the G80?

About a month ago, I bought the Etymotic ER-6s from Amazon for $90. They're pretty good and they block out sound really well. I haven't tried out any other canal ear phones though.
