That's pretty crazy. Seems like the majority of the go-forward titles are essentially developed in a way that is cross-platform enough it takes very little effort to get them running on the Xbox or PC platforms.
Social media support is all about disinformation and burying complaining customers. What good is online support when your connection is down and you can't get online? :D
Regardless of the circumstances, this qualifies to me under the "rent is too damn high" principle - there is no conceivable way that telcos can charge that much with a straight face. $20 a megabyte for international data is absurd.
Highest LAN party? Are they kidding? There is no way they could possibly hold a candle to how high some of the people were at LAN parties in the 90s... Woops...
Yeah, I have had some really shady dealings with newegg lately as well. They sent me opened/used R9 290X cards instead of new. Asus cards as well.
I had to threaten to charge them back through American Express before they were willing to accept a return, and then when they processed the...
The CCNA really isn't that hard. Get yourself some study guides (they can be "found" online for free if you look) and get a copy of IOU (IOS on Linux, which can also be "found" online). To be clear I am not advocating that you get brain dumps or test questions, but rather the study guide written...
It's a bad idea from a slippery slope perspective, that's for sure. I can't think of a reason why off the top of my head, but surely they will do more dickheadery later down the road. Bad precedent to set.
That's pretty much it in a nutshell. Everyone wants to take security seriously until it can possibly cost them $0.01 on some analyst's spreadsheet, then they channel their inner Monte Python and scream "Run away!! Run away!!".
I haven't read exactly what he means by Active Directory being the link, but if you're referring just to authentication then that's at least plausible. Generally speaking though you're not going to get too far in a well setup environment even if you happen to know a few valid AD passwords...
Well it really depends on what your definition of what the 'same network' is. You should have independent routing domains (i.e. VRF) defined for such occurrences where a firewall policy fails you, at least there isn't even a route to get there (or more likely return).
I tend to agree with...
I'm still going with "they're a bunch of morons". There is no excuse for having your payment card information/network accessible from the HVAC controllers. It is pretty amazing they passed PCI audits.
Well, he doesn't live in the United Corporation of America, so I doubt they could put him in jail. But from what I have seen in the past Yahoo is good about these types of things. It was nice of him to post it as opposed to sell it to the highest bidder.
I had a weak moment and bought a PS4. I really like it. I think I prefer PC for FPS, and games like Civilization, and XCom.
I played Assassins Creed 4 on the PS4 and loved every minute of it. I think some things work really well on couch/theater seats with a gamepad. For other games a comfy...
I'd rather have some glasshole taking random video from his glasses than the gub'mint tapping my phone calls and hovering drones in my back yard. Choose something important to get riled up about at least. The owner of this restaurant is a jackwagon and should be summarily ignored.
I will be buying this game solely because of this. I may not even play it, but more developers need to stop drinking the piracy kool-aid and ruining their games with always on, online requirements.
Legislation isn't the answer. Someone needs to start their own unbundled television service and people will flock to them in droves.
Of course since the major carriers are ignoring net neutrality these days they will enforce data caps or whatever it takes to keep you from buying the...
I don't think Microsoft can file any type of take down for this, they don't own the copyright on the video. The fact that there are unreleased products in it aren't relevant as far as I can see.
