Has anyone used the Turtle beach Ear Force PX5? There is an article in this months Gameinformer about headphones and the Turtle Beach were their number 1.
I was wondering if anyone can give a comparative perspective.
Thanks for all the reply's, they really helped.
It looks like I'll be adding that second 5870 after all :)
Now if only newegg would stop raping the price so I don't have to go through zipzoomfly :(
My question is, when do you become bottlenecked by the rest of your system?
I have a i7 920 slightly OCd (EVGA dummy OC)
6GB of DDR3 PC3 12800
I currently have a 5870 Vapor-x and wanted to add another for crossfire.
I was wondering though if I would see significant results or if I...
Looking at upgrading my graphics card but I know that the current tech from both nVidia and ATI have been out for a while (well a while for the industry) I would hate to buy and 6 months later have some new revolutionary tech come out.
Anyone seen or heard of whats on the horizon graphics...
I don't :)
Thanks for the reply.
Although I think my plans have changed. Seeing as how DDR3 is significantly cheaper than the last time I looked, I may go with an i7 now......
I have decided on a Q9550 for my next upgrade, coming from phenom :( and my last few builds have been AMD. While reading through the posts on this board I have noticed something.
When comparing the various chipsets there is a constant reference to the overclockability of the chipset.
If I...
A little background for you:
I bought my Phenom Black Edition and MSI K9A2 as soon as I could. Pretty much as soon as I installed everything I started having problems. I initially attributed the problems to Vista 64 but most recently I am thinking it is my MB that is suspect. I am constantly...
A few questions:
1) Wouldn't the drop in memory only affect you if you are running higher than 1900x1200?
2) Is the drop to 256 bit a bigger deal than the drop to 512?
3) Do you think going to 65nm will let you overclock it better?
4) When will [H] run this thing up agianst a...
Awwww yeah. Man this would be killer. Just put together a new system.
Phenom BE
MSI K9A2
4GB OCZ SLI RAM
150GB Raptor X
Ran out of money and couldn't upgrade the graphics LMAO!!!
So for the price of 2 of these 8600s you could get one 8800GTS 640MB (actually a little less with rebates) or for an extra $60 you could get a lower end 8800GTX.
So are you better running (2) 8600s SLI or one 8800?
Thank you, that would be me :(
Currently putting together (to replace the Dell w/RDRAM)
AMD 64 3500+
1 gig Corsair TWINX-3200XLPT
all wrapped nicely in Antec P160 w/window.
As soon as Newegg gets the Asus A8V Deluxe (because I can't wait for the MSI NEO2) in I'll have all the pieces...
I understand what you guys are saying about RAM being only one piece of the puzzel. Could someone please explain why the 9800 Pro 128 dosen't perform as well as the 9800 Pro 256? This is an honest question by the way. I'm just curious if anyone has an answer.
Thank you for those links. Both reviews were very informative. If the price for the GT is the same as the Pro then it's a no brainer. I really wanna see how the big dogs stack up!!!! should prove to be a good show down. :D
Yes "we" would. Like I said I'm not a loyalist either way. When [H] gets all four (GT, Ultra, Pro and XTPE) and puts them all through the wringer I will most likely take their word for it and buy the winner. A lot of faith in one sites findings? Yes. I unforunately do not have the resources to...
I'm actually a little (just a little) surprised you guys would post a review from a sight that is obviously extremely nVidia biased. I have come to respect every review you guys do as extremely objective and with your new method of testing GPU's I take every other review with a grain of salt...
