I'm not 100% sure and I'm out of country so I can't check the box - but this the product from Newegg from 2011. Funny it's still listed on the site.

thanks for the ideas (to all as well) I did disconnect drives but only at the drives themselves - think I need to actually disconnect at the mobo? Did disconnect video card, and plugged HDMI into onboard video - any chance its not getting activated somehow?
On clearing the CMOS (switching...
Mobo boot drive led stays lit and won't boot to bios at all. (system in sig) Daughter tried to turn it on and just told me it never came on - she said it had some loading screen and then went off. Not much detail I could get from her - only 9. No other warning signs. System power comes on with...
Thanks - should have mentioned I have opened it up and made sure cpu fan is running as well as blew it all out with compressed air. Wasn’t too dusty. I do that relatively often.
Front two case fans are ok, rear fan cycles, probably bad bearing. Top fan is worse. Often sticks. Not the best...
Maybe you guys can offer advice - I have a 2600k that’s been lately getting over 90c on all cores in coretemp on stock cooler with no OC, built in 2011.
Has been giving me BSOD and bios screen tells me CPU over temperature error.
Assume it’s heat related. Have considered replacing stock HS...
Oh, these programs have already been trying to find a way around this. A recent one is to no longer give a free or discounted product, but to instead give 110% credit after purchase for use in their store.
I suppose that violates the spirit if not the letter ...
Preorder or within 2 weeks of release date. May sit first round out till solid reviews.

I got all excited until I realized these will just be jacked up in price to be irrelevant.
Or am I being a negative Nancy and you just have to buy a card from the right retailer. Not a marked bundle.
I started using Uber in NYC after finding a gas station with at least 100 taxis during shift change. Not a single damn one would take us. And this wasn't like a 15 minute switch. They all told us not to bother trying to get one nearby for another hour or so.
That was the last time I used a...
There are better or more in-depth sites as have been posted above, but for a more high level perspective, Wirecutter looked at these as well.

Well you say "upgrade at massive discount" but that's not true, it's just deferred exp. You will absolutely pay the full price of that phone over the contract life in built in monthly fees. They aren't being nice. I could do they same thing on installment and just pay off phone and keep it at...
I can get not being excited about a new iPhone. It's just a phone after all and some years aren't going to be a big step up. That said, doubling the storage, improved camera, and inevitable speed increase are usually the better things on the table so if that doesn't move your needle, it's...
Have same phone and if the 256gb rumor becomes reality, that's enough for me (yes, 128 full and on my 128 iPad pro as well). I'm sure there will be some kind of camera bump which will be gravy since I use it as my work traveling camera.
I know it sounds ridiculous but with an installment plan...
After multiple tech support calls with Microsoft and a couple remote sessions, they could do nothing except vaguely guess it was "drivers" and that an in-place upgrade would fix it.
I had to catch the tech blowing me off on losing easy rollback capability more than once and finally told them...
Thanks - no overclocks or anything non standard. Just run box stock. clean install is on the docket but last resort. Would suck to reconfigure. Plus I have a ton of games moved with steam mover across a few drives before they enabled that in steam. Would be a bitch to fix.
Pretty sure firmware is up to date. No issues until Win 10. Those AE routers have been the one bright spot in my network. Rarely ever have issues. Went through several routers a couple years ago and constant issues until stuck with AE. I know they are not very configurable. I need stability more.
I haven't touched Win 10 install yet or tinkered with it. I only started looking at services after the issue but haven't really started killing any yet as none are really suspicious.
Will try that. Assuming that shutting down PC and seeing the internet come back up immediately is doing essentially the same thing as pulling network cable as far as diagnosing general internet impact.
Will dig around to see if my network card drivers are out of date. I'm assuming that with...
Windows 10 installed less than week, just last couple days been hard freezing (system in sig) ONLY when unattended and have isolated that these freezes kill ALL internet (Xfinity 125/12) in house. No freezing issues on Win 8.1. The PC does NOT even have wifi and is only at the end of 1 hard line...
I'm listening. I know (coming from my original Geforce2 MX 32gb) that you can always wait, but is this the prevailing wind right now?
I'm in no particular hurry, but can see this year's plate of games taxing my 670.
I've got the same question - using the same processor and ram but with a 670.
I almost bit on the new version evga 970 deal that was going on today, but still wondering if that is the right card for 1080p gaming.
I'm seeing that my shiny new GTA V is being benchmarked as needing as much GPU...
See that is depressing to have to do that. Which would be why I'd want to upgrade.
Although with how dark that damn game is, I'd probably never notice with everything moving so fast.
Now that I'm remembering, it was Evolve that got me thinking about a card upgrade.
It's not set that high, but I get stutters pretty often on it enough to impact gameplay.
Not a bad idea. Been tempted by several of those 27" IPS 1440p monitor deals that keep popping up.
But I guess my thought is with new games coming out like GTA V, I just wanna be able to keep gfx detail up and frame rate enjoyable.
I'm kinda an eye-candy whore ...
I do fondly remember my 9700 Pro . . . .
I hear you on the consoles. I agree there is not really much even out for them right now, Bloodborne/UC4 not till later this year anyway. But my brother does play COD and we like to try play together, but I suck on thumbsticks. He did get me a Titan...
Thanks - yeah I had seen that youtube video the day it came out when the announced the cluster of DLC. As ridiculous as the DLC is, I can afford to just get the game and not worry about a measly $60 or so. I will admit, to my eternal shame, I did the GMG deal for 20% off and preordered the...
Wasn't able to see one easily that included a 670, did a bit of googling. This sites review doesn't include one and neither did a few others. Plenty of other cards but not that one. Most of the results putting the two together are just those spec comparison sites. But even from that I was...
I recognize those Q2 weapon figures: hyperblaster, super shotgun, etc - they were included with certain Quake 2 figures I had back in they day. Pretty cool, if a little nerdy.
Now what would really be a nice X-mas present is Doom 2 and the Quakes released on iOS with controller support...
Trying to figure out if I can install a bootable usb windows 8 version that I have to assume is an upgrade version and def not 8.1 (Feb 2013), without having to install windows 7 first on a clean ssd?
So I bought a cheap $40 version of Windows 8, a lot longer ago than I thought - way back in...
