I can find nothing in the Asus bios that allows me to turn the graphics on/off; I've been through it over and over and there's nothing. And, the documentation sucks so it is no help at all
I've been using dvi to hdmi cables for both; I've tried dvi to dvi, vga to vga but only one monitor will work at any one time. To make things worse, my integrated AMD graphics on the Asus A88 board don't work at all; I've installed drivers/catalyst but there are no integrated graphics at all.
Yesterday evening, after running 2 days with dual 27" monitors, one refused to be detected by my EVGA GT740sc; didn't matter which output I tried, only one monitor would be detected and there were a few times that no monitor was detected.
Is this just a bad 18 day old vid card or could it be...
SP3; I typically run driver updates monthly; using McAfee Security suite--up to date.
Logged in an Administrator but it did the same thing; just seems to be either a problem within XP in retaining the drivers or the M/B; the only solution I see right now is to reinstall XP and if that doesn't...
It doesn't prompt me for anything nor will it install automatically; I have to insert the disk and start the installation manually each time; with the 4850 it sometimes takes 2 or 3 tries to successfully install; with the 8800 it usually installs the first time. When the system boots into...
It seems that whenever I reboot, I lose all video card and drivers; I then have to reinstall the drivers. This first happened on a Diamond 4850 so I replaced it with an EVGA 8800GT Akimbo; same thing on both. No video card is detected and then I have to reinstall. Given these circumstances, I...
I've reinstalled twice since my rebuild; strange that everything but the card is recognized all the time. I'll contact Diamond and hope for the best. Or, I might just try a different card and see if I get the same problems with it.
Thanks
In addition to the stock diamond drivers, I've tried 8.7, 8.8, 8.9 and 8.10
Same problems with all of them; they do finally install after several tries but upon reboot, they are gone and I'm told "no ATI card is installed"
I recently purchased a Diamond 4850; it works great until I reboot and then it loses all drivers and I have to use Driver Cleaner and reinstall the drivers; this usually takes 2 or 3 tries before it finally recognizes and installs drivers. My rig is a Q6600, 4gb ram; nothing is O/C'd; Resolution...
Thanks Uncle; I ordered the new vga silencer; removed the heatsink and just waiting for it to come; should be pretty easy to install; I just hope that the card wasn't damaged!!
Last night, the fan on my 9800Pro died and in the process, fell off; it actually melted the solder holding the wires to the fan; the card will work for about 3-4 minutes before freezing my system; What is the best action to take? can I replace this fan with a aftermarket cooling assembly? Like...
Considering that it is a fairly large probe, I doubt that anyone could fit it under the cpu! the only other similar thing I had was the TT Spark 7 that went between the hs and cpu! really makes no difference since the lcd doesn't show any temp anyway; just an "L" and a thermometer!!
I just received an ECS P4ITA 2 motherboard; this is a P4 motherboard; the strange thing is it has no connector for a pc speaker; I've never seen this before; nothing on the motherboard; nothing in the manual! In addition, although it's a P4 m/b, it does not have the additional 12v power...
