There's not enough space between the PSU shroud and the side panel... there's pretty much only enough space for the side panel to slot in. You can put it on the top of the PSU shroud but it wouldn't look very nice with the window placement. You can get an idea of how narrow it is from this pic...

^^^ Those have to be the weakest complaints I've heard regarding Fractal cases. The Define C is more narrow than the R5 or S. I can take some measurements when I get home.

BL3201PH does have Freesync as long as you have one built after something like March 2015. When I plugged it into my Fury X I was able to enable it.

Both use the same AUO panel. Both seem to be affected by random flickering. BenQ has Freesync. I'd avoid both if you don't need anything immediately.

I was doing more research and it seems like the vertical stripes is similar to when televisions fail due to the LCD "tab bonding" failure. Knock on wood haven't yet had issues with the entire display blacking out...

How often is "intermittent"? Once per minute, once per hour, once per day? Does it flicker like this? It happens to non ebay Korean monitors too. Some forum members here are speculating that it has something to do with the TCON used in a eDP display.

Sparkle in matte - yes this is a valid concern. You can either buy glossy, or buy matte and remove the matte film like several of us here have been doing. Some matte coatings are more aggressive than others. Viewing angle can also have an effect. My BL3201PH has crazy sparkle if I look down...

Can anyone perhaps take a photo of the board using a FLIR camera to pinpoint the hotspots? Maybe if we heatsink somewhere it can help with stability? I never noticed it during winter time when my office is cold, but now in summer I see it more and more.

This monitor most definitely is NOT flicker free and does use PWM when not at 100% brightness.

Stuffed a Fury X into my M1 v3. It'll probably be better if I have the U9S pointing up instead of to the back because the thick rad blocks part of the CPU fan. This isn't it's final form as it was meant only as a quick test build just to see if everything would fit. 4790K de-lidded...

Has anyone been able to get these utilities to work under Windows 10? It fails trying to install the kernel mode driver, even if I run install as admin or as Win7 compatibility mode.

What build date is your monitor? My monitor was assembled in July 2015 but the panel inside is dated December 2014. I was disappointed with the bruise and the antiglare graininess but free sync and 4k make up for it sort of.

It definitely works - the windmill demo with the vertical bar test pattern is solid with Freesync on. For some reason it only reveals 55 fps to me so the sweep option doesn't work, even after updating the BenQ drivers. Going to try updating my AMD drivers to latest ones to see if it helps...

Interesting, My monitor has a build date of July 2015. I'll poke around the menus and hook it up to my other comp with a 290X and see what I can find regarding Freesync.

Prices off shopbot.ca just now. XFX 390X - $530-540 970 - $410 980 - $640 980Ti - $840 How is $530 "nearly the price" of a 980Ti? Sure some stores are out to lunch selling the 390X at over $700 but all of their cards are equally overpriced.

BRB building myself a custom LCD. With VGA and DVI.

Looks like a cheaper BL3201PH with HDMI2.0, minus control pod, and fewer inputs (1 less DP and 1 less HDMI). Not sure how compelling of a purchase this will be unless you really want HDMI2.0 instead of DP1.2.

I ordered a replacement monitor due to the first one having weird yellowing, a bright column, and a 'bruise' on the left side of the screen. The new one seems a bit more even (or just the yellow starts closer to the sides), but now instead I have this weirdo dark backlight patch. Build date...

Rule the cable out by using one of the included cables. The manual even says you should use the included power cable. I've been using the included MDP cable off my 7970 and it's been working great, granted I haven't spent more than two consecutive hours in-front of it yet.

@Otaku+ are you using the included displayport cable? Also re: colour shift, could it be due to curing glue for the anti-glare film? I'm thinking of gently warming it up with a hair dryer to see if it helps. The screen runs so cool to the touch even on max brightness, only the bottom of the...

How delicate is the polarizer after removing the matte? It's quite grainy IMO but sit far enough away and it's not as noticeable. BTW I am able to OC the DVI input to 3840x2160@60hz off my 980Ti. Any higher and it'd go all weird.

Not particularly AMD's fault that vendors decided to skimp out on the VRM design & cooling (certain XFX and Sapphire cards), while simultaneously overclocking far past official reference spec. I'd also say the reason you see a spike of failures in 7950 and 280X is due to people pushing them...

Use a white eraser after washing it with alcohol and acetone (pure stuff, not the scented nail polish remover stuff). Make sure it's dry before you start erasing. Or you can buy that Arcticlean kit and use the citrus cleaner to dissolve the residue from the thermal pads and use the 'washer'...
