So... the panel doesn't use PWM, and doesn't use DC dimming, what kind of dimming does it use then that creates this "flicker" that you see? I have had this monitor for about 5 months now, and I cant see any flicker, and no idea what its calibrated to, as I have not preformed anything...

entirely up to you, 10bit vs 8bit, just means less banding in colors like in the sky.. otherwise if you don't care to much about that, go 8bit with the higher refresh rate.

When did you put in the request? I have a stuck pixel on mine, plus the firmware issues, been kinda waiting to put an RMA request in till they resolved most of their problems.

Only thing I can think of would be to not hook up the USB, its a function of the USB device/hub to force Windows to download the application, the monitor should have an option in the settings to disable this... but it doesn't.

I was under the impression most people preferred to calibrate their monitors to ~150 nits or so in SDR for proper photo or video editing.

I have never understood the whole "must keep quiet to concentrate", if its quiet then ANY noise however quiet or loud is a distraction, however if I have music playing or a fan making noise, I can ignore it, and it covers up most other sounds that would be distracting. Also I tend to do better...

I kind of did, earlier in the year I had my 3420 RMAed, and Dell replaced it with a 3821, and then I got the 3423, I prefer the 34 inch size, at least for my desk situation (an Ikea Fredrik)

regarding eco mode and refresh timers, I have not seen any diffrence with it on or off, it still asks me to do a refresh after I had turned it off at 10pm, and turned it back on at 7:30pm, running the 101 firmware, kinda getting tired of that notice too.

its supposed to be every 4 hours it wants it done, and every 20 hours it NEEDS it done. Mine running the 101 firmware seems to be regardless of eco mode wants to do a refresh every time I turn it on, its kind of annoying. it could be 18 hours since the last time I used it... and it wants to refresh.

Well enabling eco mode has not adjusted the timer for pixel refresh, it still wants to preform a refresh as soon as I turn on the monitor, regardless of the fact that it did it when I turned off the monitor 18 hours before, I think I will do an RMA one of these days soon. issues I am having...

I don't use sleep for my monitors, I have had to many issues with a dog or something tapping the mouse and causing the monitor to wake, so I turn off the monitor, when I do it glows green for refresh, then turns off, and it complains the next night when I turn it on that it needs to refresh...

I am a little annoyed with mine, I do have one stuck pixel, a dark red color, but knowing how long others have taken to get their replacements I am willing to wait a while to go for an RMA, I also get the occasional flash of a black screen, using both the provided DisplayPort cable and an Amazon...

Playing Ghostwire Tokyo, hitting Shift and Caps Lock at the same time does some weird resolution change or something, and the monitor always acts like it, and takes a good 3-4 seconds to change with a black screen, its kind of annoying. Otherwise, it looks really good on this monitor with HDR...

it does indeed turn off, it also annoyingly wants you to do a pixel refresh every time you turn it on. I have it do a pixel refresh, go to bed, wake up and go to work, and when I get home and turn it on after 18+ hours of being off from a refresh... it wants me to do it again.

Well, I did not pay for 2 day, it was a free upgrade for being a Dell Preferred Credit... but its still going to be 6 days... Shipped the 6th, expected the 12th.

Well, I ordered mine on the 9th of March, sometime around 11am PST, and I just got the shipped notification about an hour ago, I did get an email on Sunday that it was delayed out to June 20th from an original April 29th ship date.... but it looks like that was a bit pessimistic on time frame.

well according to the manual there is no profile built in for it, so you might be able to get it to work if you create a user profile in windows or the GPU driver.

Like with all the other Alienware monitors, you can turn off all lighting or adjust it to whatever color you like, its in the settings of the monitor or the Alienware control center software.

I checked the tray sensors, on both printers, both are working fine, I even took them apart and cleaned them, still having the same issues, have also tried legal sized paper just to see, getting the same issues. Tray 2 is the primary fault but the manual feed or Tray 1 also sees the same error...

Doesn't matter, the error happens when I tap thru the front panel for it to print a paper path test, it gives the error. And we have been using both the universal and the dedicated HP drivers for this printer.
