You need a high level toon that can afk solo insane ramparts or glitterhelm. I'm doing it right now. After 1 run on insane ramparts my new app was lvl 35. After one run on glitterhelm he was lvl 51. It took 25 minutes.

It worked for me on Solaris 10 update 6 with the swap file on the root filesystem. I suspect that its not adding the file because /opt it not mounted. Can you try this with a small swap file on your root partition?
