I like notebooks. My laptop is not for gaming but this is not the point. If you want one that can handle games get a notebookswith X700 or GF6800. Notebook with 17" widescreen LCD and a powerful video card from ATI or Nvidia is not far behind for a desktop.

Is it possible and if it is then with what program to overclock the core of GMA900 ? I guess memory is out of the question as GMA900 uses the laptop memory as its video memory.

I just bought the same laptop for $1200 on Ncix.com This laptop is really nice. GMA900 does a nice job as long as it is not used for gameing. I really like Acer software that comes with the laptop. The laptop is virtually soundless when CPU power is set to high or medium.

I had both 193p and 193plus at home. I compared them both side by side (one connected through VGA and other DVI). I played Battlefield2 on both and i do not see difference between the two LCDs. If there is any difference it is neglibible and it does not justifly 8ms rating.

I think that comparing Dell to Sony is like comparing apples to oranges. Dell is a computer maker and Sony is a powerhouse with hands in about anything. To tell the truth i really like Samsung which is a leader in may areas (lcds, memory, Dlps etc. )

DELL is cheap and that is why it is so popular in the US. Sony is pricier but it is technologically superior to DELL not to mention that dell's products are simply ugly (my opinion) I would rather spend more money and get Sony.
