Are your prescotts 478pin cus man they all run hot mine on stock cooling for now idles down to 32 and with 2 instances of Prime 95 only gets to max 55-58

P4s have auto throttleing its not the heat. It sounds like the 5v rail is droping to low... Either bump ur your cpu voltage a very small amount or buy a better Power supply.. Try a Thermal Take 420PurePower..Solid as a rock.

Crucial doesnt like to be over/underclocked,,,but either way man you seriously need a new psu before you should try overclocking and undervolting that poor chip of yours...I cant belive they sell desktops with that weak of a PSU still...

dont listen to them...never be afraid to ask for help in these forums.... First off we need to know more about your system Second yes you really need to get a new PSU especially if overclocking Third it sounds to me like your RAM is what is causing your reboots cause my old 2.4B...
