Interesting to hear how it goes bad on the driver loading. My EVGA 2080TI FTW3 just died randomly last night and while it works fine showing the BIOS post, the second Windows tries to load (what I'm assuming is the driver) it immediately BSODs.
If I use onboard video it works fine with the card...
Hi guys, I've been searching around but I haven't been able to find a solid answer to a question I have.
I currently have an ASUS P8P67 Pro and 2 three slot GTX 680 cards. Due to the sizes of these cards I would prefer to have more spacing between them when I have them in SLI. On the P8P67...
Hey guys, I just got my non-TOP version of this card installed. It looks great and performs awesome.
When my card fans spin up to 40% or so I can definitely hear them. It's not a whine more of a lower pitched drone. I used the 580 version of this card before and it was virtually silent and...
I went from a vf700cu to a vf900 for my ATI x800XT.
VC: AIW x800XT
Brand: Built by ATI
SC: 500/500
OC: 560/575
vf700 (overclocked)
Idle temp: ~46 celcius
Load temp: ~71 celcius
vf900 (overclocked)
Idle temp: 38 celcius
Load temp: haven't seen above 56 celcius even in this hot...
I replaced my vf700 with at vf900 on my ATI AIW X800XT. The vf700 idled at 46 celcius and was load at 70 celcius (while overclocked to 560/575). It now idles at 40 celcius and at load its never above 56 celcius. Personally, I think that its worth the extra money. I just wonder if they had made...
I work at Fry's Electronics, we special ordered 8 of them last friday. Today we got told from Samsung that they will have to delay the order due to the capacitors while they get a new revision out. Sucks too, because I was going to buy one of them for myself.
Well guess what, Samsung decided to use American capacitors in this screen and they are failing. So if you are looking for this you might want to wait for the new revision, or at least get an extended warranty if you can.
Since it came out in September, its still pretty rare to find in stock. It sells so freaking fast. I'm going to get one in about a week (I work at Fry's Electronics and we special ordered a few from Samsung). So if you can wait a bit I can give you my impressions.
So wait, is it the XFX version thats not released or is it the entire 7800GT line thats not out? Sorta confused because we are selling them at the Austin, TX Fry's Electronics already.
Cool, thanks for the replies. And I really do recommend this thing over the 7700cu. The XP-120 weighs in at 370grams (heatsink only), while the 7700 weighs a monstrous 918 grams...thats almost a kilo! Although be sure to check your motherboard compatibility on Thermalrights website, I had to...
Hi all, I just installed my new XP-120 with a panaflo fan, and I had a question about my temps. Motherboard Monitor reports my case temperature at 34 celcius, and my cpu temperature at 32 celcius. It was my understanding that with air cooling the cpu temperature couldn't go below the ambient...
Yup video cards and hard drives have 30 days from the date of sale. The only things at Fry's that have 15 days are processors, memory, network storage, digital cameras/camcorders, and a couple others that aren't relevant to this thread.
(And I can say this as a Fry's employee :) )
Open steam, then open the "play games" menu, right click halflife 2, then properties, click launch options, put in "-console" (without the quotes).
In the console type "sv_cheats 1" and then just whatever cheats you want.
Personally I use a Bansheepad. Its pretty large, and made out of pretty solid aluminum. Several colors to choose from, and you can even get it personalized.
www.bansheepad.com
Plus Toms Hardware did a pad roundup recently (includes the Banshee Pad)...
Heh damn straight, thats where I work. At least at the Austin Fry's we know our crap. The California guys are mainly the kind of people you get that would be working at best buy or circuit city trying to convince you to buy stuff you don't need. Austin being the mecca of tech companies that it...
Well I am sorry your experience at Fry's didn't turn out how you expected it to go, but I doubt the sales associate in question intentionally mislead you on the video card. There are a number of reasons that you could have received the wrong card. The associate could have not heard you say BFG...
Hey guys I was wondering if any of you had heard of a sub $100 case that has some good airflow. I will be slapping an AMD 64 3200+ (getting a FANTASTIC deal on that) in there. Probably no overclocking, although I may try it once to see how far I could go. On looks I could go either way, as long...
I absolutely love my Banshee Pad. Its made out of cool aircraft anodized aluminum, which is just fun to say. Plus you get those teflon feet for your mouse for free, I mean come on, why do people sell them for 10 dollars and such when they are less than a penny to make? Also they have this cool...
Well I was curious because I can get a discount where I pay cost+10% on computer products (hardware and software), but I have no real way of knowing that price.
Well this is sort of about hardware, it deals with one aspect of it. Does anyone know how I could find out the "cost" prices of computer hardware? The price before the stores mark it up. I'm suspecting that I can't unless I have access to a store's database.
I used a func pad before I upgraded to my current one. I find the Banshee pad to be much smoother and since its built of aluminum its really cool. Plus the free teflon mouse feet are a great bonus.
Well ATI might have wanted to go for something we would actually somewhat kinda maybe like. I mean sure, Nvidia's characters are made to attract male attention, but ATI decided to not do that and go for a super heroine type (because the people who use these cards play games). I also believe this...
Since you did not use the EXACT same system as Tom's then you cannot pass any judgements. If there was a very odd discrepency (like 10+ fps) then maybe there was something weird, but not when its under 5 fps difference.
Well the new Xaser V's are totally sucky. The 3 and the 2 are the best ones. 3 and 2 have great ariflow and ok looks. The powersupplies are great, Antec level even.
GASP! Now thats just mean :D
And I will have you know I am upgrading it to the Visiontek Xtasy 9200 256meg card (still pci, I love pci).
And yes I do like the pics overall, its just most are the exact same shot of it from head on. I like that there are cool closeups in this posting.
So because there is a new DVD type coming out I should buy something that will be replaced soon...right I like that logic.
Since you seem to be so pissed off about something trivial I think I will hold onto my cd drives until I die. Hah, since I am not switching to DVD then the companies will...
