Such a shame TVs are still so much further ahead of monitors. Finally get QDOLED/WOLED monitors only to have 1/3 of the HDR brightness of what we all know the panel tech itself could do.
If they made this even 10” smaller…8k res, 2400nits in 10% window. I’d be all over it. There is still this...
My 77 A95L will be here this week just before the bowl. Going from a 77 C9. Have a couple S95B qdoleds. Use a 55 as my monitor and 65 in bedroom. I can’t go back to WOLED and didn’t want to give up Dolby vision so that leaves one very expensive option.
As someone who goes to work everyday to provide for my family I see nothing wrong here from their financial perspective. If there is an issue with their performance then that should come out every year at review time.
I love my S95B to death for picture but it isnt without a fight. Samsung firmware is straight trashcan on the s95b. My previous C1 shit on it in terms of ability to be calibrated. While i calibrated my s95b, the CMS is junk and prior to firmware 13xx was absolutely broken. I mean as in did...
I hope this screen dethrones the "tv" displays but i highly doubt it. I'm also on a calibrated s95b and its just....different in a good way especially for the price. The monitor prices are still whacked and some company is just going to have to eat it and cannibalize their own products to make...
Asking $800 shipped. Comes with EK block already mounted on it as well as original box and accessories complete with stock heatsink. My ebay is towerofpower22.
Thanks for looking.
Nope was the newest predator 240hz model about 3 months ago the one with .5ms bs. I notice no input difference in oled vs. The 240 but maybe im not good enough to notice. What i do notice is that the oled shits on a 1080p tn panel in every measurable way possible except the actual refresh rate...
I have a 55 c9 oled and had a predator 240hz 24 tn. The oled even at 1440 120 just destroys it. Besides the tn looking god awful, oled pixel response makes 120 on the oled look so much quicker. Motion resolution is on another level which adds a lot to the smoothness of what you are seeing...
I got my 55 on rakuten from iElectrica for 1199. Free shipping no tax. Took 2 weeks to actually get it but it was new and no issues. LG warranties no matter where you buy it. Ill try to get screenshots with no scaling. I had it working in BL3 with black bars all around.
My post mentions doing it 1:1 filling the screen. That is impossible. Oled is fixed pixel so there is only one 1:1 resolution that fills the screen, 3840x2160. Any other resolution is scaled to fill. If u turn off gpu scaling u can output 2560x1440 with black bars all around the image.
Couple things for those getting one:
1. When in pc mode on hdmi port, SDR content is rgb full so black level setting on picture mode should be set to high.
2. When HDR is enabled it will switch to rgb/ycbcr limited so change black level to low or image will be washed out.
3. 2560x1440...
I have not.
I cant get 10bit color depth at 2560x1440 120hz either. It greys out changing color depth even with hdr enabled. Looks like it may have to do with using a pc resolution. Can't change it even at 4k either unless i change to YCbCr422 or 420
OLED is 3840x2160 no matter what. Nothing else besides 3840x2160 would be true 1:1 without going through a scaler either in the display or the GPU. OLED is a fixed pixel array display. There would be no such thing as 2560x1440 showing 1:1 on OLED.
I'm blown away when I see a screen of this size be that fast. Whether its the Alienware or the C9, I agree it is shocking. Hopefully, this is a case where we all win whether you want a monitor or a TV display. What's shocking is that size used to be what really dictated price. Now especially...
Filled. Its scaled to fit by the display. More resolution would be great (4k) and will be here in due time. For now, from an image quality perspective it creates a very eye pleasing image. I've had friends over that all said the same in that they thought 1440 would've looked much worse and...
Here is my C9 setup. Just got it going a few days ago. Gaming at 1440 120hz right now with VRR. Works very well with latest Nvidia drivers and latest OLED firmware. Sorry for mess, still straightening it up. For the $1200 I paid for it, it works great and will last me just fine until an...
I still have an older 65 E6 and back then hooked up my pc to it for 4k/60hz and ran Doom 2016 on it. While obvious input lag sucked, the 4k res even at that size was amazing to me. I remember even putting my face 1ft from it and saying can't see pixels etc. Maybe im just blind but it looked...
Is the input delay non-existant? Some charts I saw show the PG27UQ and the OLED at 120hz pretty much the same. Actually I believe the OLED might even be quicker with its 6.x ms time.
Hows the gaming now at 1440p 120hz? Are you scaling the image and if so do you notice a softer image? Getting rid of my PG27UQ and going 55 C9. I know it'll be a regression for a period of time until Gsync compatible firmware and later hdmi 2.1 but certainly gain image quality. I have OLEDs...
Hey guys,
Going the 55 C9 OLED route so this has to go. Everything included with original box. I dont need the desk mount either so if you need one let me know ill throw it in. No bad pixels, does 144hz no problem.
Asking: $1100

I went from a 800hp ctsv to a model 3 performance awd. I dont miss the V one damn bit. I was sold immediately when I test drove the tesla and made the move as fast as possible. I figured eventually something like this would happen. I figured it would happen when gas was like 6 bucks a gallon.
Asking $500. I'll pay the shipping.
Card is only used for gaming. Never mined on. Replaced with a 2080Ti that just came in. I have a PG278UQ so I needed the frames for 4K 144hz.
Original box etc.

Bought on the dip friday. Back up 16% pre market. Easiest money ever. Learn to see through the noise. People arguing over how much 20 million is to a billionaire or what tweet says what. Who gives a shit. Make money.
That's ok. I'll keep buying. I love me some Amazon and Microsoft. Own both cloud platforms as companies flock to them in droves. I'll keep going to the bank.
When the market is dropping across a sector like this, that means some of them are on sale who had nothing to do with it. Buy the dip.
Get a 4k player or a VUDU account. Top rated picture quality 4k Blu-rays are Revnant, Lucy, The Shallows, and Pacific Rim. Those 4 are nothing but stunning to say the least. If you dont have a 4k player, VUDU has excellent streaming 4k dolby vision for these movies. But even so, the...
I had my 65E6 calibrated by ChadB. None of the issues Megalith said are valid on a 2016. The only issue that is relevant on these 2016's is color accuracy. The CMS leaves a lot to be desired but is not the fault of the panel but the software controlling it. Basically its a top of the line...
I bought a 65EF9500 last week. As a former Kuro Pro141 owner and JVC RS55 projector owner, these oleds are on another level plain and simple. Ive had all my displays calibrated etc. and the oled provides a depth to the image that is simply unmatched by anything else. I still have a calibrated...
I just bought a LG 65EF9500 4K OLED set last week. Pretty sure that also supports 4K@60 4:4:4. My HTPC goes through my prepro which only supports 1080p so I can't test it just yet, but my marantz av8802a should be here wednesday and i'll test it at 4K then.
