I will try to remember to get a pic tonight. Looks just like a 2208 on the stand :)
I have corrected the color so I no longer have fuzzy text. I am not sure if I can get used to the TN colors. As I am coming over from a 2007WFP and a 2007FP panel. Contrast is great in dark games. Also...
1.) I didn't say it was ghosting more, they both appear to be about the same at least to my eye. I tested with HL2. F.E.A.R. and Prey. In some dark places the S-PVA "seemed" to show more detail (hence its 1000:1 vs 800:1 contrast ratio.) The S-IPS was the most consistent though.
2.) To...
The clouding you see is not present on either monitor in person. It is caused by the long shutter time when using that camera. The only thing you see is a bit a purple hue when viewing the IPS, while the PVA is nice and black.
Here are 4 picks, first 2 are of the S-IPS and other 2 are of...
The one on the left is the PVA and the right is the IPS.
The brightness you see is not actually there. I used a DSLR camera and it left the shutter open longer than normal so it picked up more light in the photos. Both screens have very little light leakage when black. The PVA has quit a...
I just received a replacement S-IPS on Monday for my S-PVA I received 2 weeks ago. So it does appear to still be an option.
I have been comparing these side by side and honestly for gaming the S-PVA seems to be a better choice. I did all the tests on here and I can see more detail in...
I happen to have both boards. The Gigabyte in on my main pc and the i90 is in my gaming machine.
bob511 hit most of the main points. I tried onboard video on the Gigabyte and had nothing but problems with it. Awful quality when running at 1600x1200 and I don't think I was able to give it...
Here is a screenshot of the BIOS and a screenshot of me running 300FSB on a E6400. I didn't try much else... It does not have a voltage setting for either CPU or MEM. I could have sworn that in F2 there were voltages for the memory.
Gigabyte has released a new BIOS for the GA-965GM-S2 and it finally does add O/C options! I have the board and they are visible when you hit CTRL-F1 with version F3 BIOS.
I have not tried to O/C yet but it is now there, as these were not available with version F2.
I had a similar problem with a new 2001fp. When I would shut it off and then my pc would put the LCD into standby, when I would try to turn it back on the LCD would go green then amber. Eventually I could get it to go back on by turning it on and off many times. It only did this in DVI too...
It does not come with a SPDIF bracket. You can use COAX SPDIF but not optical. I have 3 different brackets and optical will not work on any of them. I made a new bracket with only optical connector and got it to work for a short while but it stopped working. The board still puts out +5v on...
