corporations are beholden to their shareholders and nobody else. Expecting Apple to do something that hurts it for the sake of humanity is like expecting someone to cut off their foot because you’ve asked nicely.
I'll wager you'll be facing some pretty insane lawsuits if you start shooting drones out of the sky.
I'm not actually sure why you feel the need to destroy other people's property, sounds like you may have unresolved anger management issues.
Ordered this for the cottage. Pretty expensive but beats the hell out of xplorenet and using my data plan.
they don’t have an eta on when they’ll ship my dish though....
I haven’t touched My Switch since December 2018. They came out big with BotW and Odyssey, which I loved, but they haven’t released anything that appealed to me in over 2 years.
Kills me that I just played through the original trilogy a few months ago.
I'll probably end up picking it up anyway and maybe start a renegade femshep playthrough.
This is what happens when you skip out on mocap and just try to hand animate everything.
It’ll be sick for the 0.001 percent of the population that can afford it. I question whether even the RTX 3090 will be able to drive a meaningful 8k gaming experience.
Be interesting to see what Sony charges in Canada. MS went with 379 & 599 CAD, which is better than I thought, I wonder if Sony will match that.
Margins on consoles have always been shit, the real money is made on the attachments and games.
This is why piracy still exists.
The most insulting part of this is that you are literally paying to haul around equipment that you are not using.
I think the difference is that SiriusXM is providing a service that has an ongoing cost to them. There are expenses related to transmitting...
I would rather have no charger than the shit 5 watt charger they gave me with my iPhone XR.
I don’t know what to think about this. Wall chargers are so ubiquitous now a days that it hardly matters. Half the wall sockets in my house have USB built in. If they pass the savings on to the consumer...
Ptime doesn’t waive return costs for non damaged items.
That said, you do get prime video and music included with the free shipping so it’s more than worth it.
Correct.
AMD is not competitive at the high end. Nvidia has no need to innovate since nobody can touch them. Prices are going up due to lac of competition.
Like you mentioned, this is exactly the same thing that happened to Intel between when they released Sandy Bridge all the way through to...
Shaping up to be an exciting year for video cards. Can’t wait to see what Intel has in store too. Hopefully it isn’t shit and we get 3 competitors in this space.
Looks good. Nice to see some actual gameplay.
Dont care much what it looks like since it will be hidden in a different room.
My only concern is the price. If the cheapest version is more than $600 CAD I’ll probably just get a new GPU.
You would think so. But given how long we've been hearing about how these revolutionary materials are right around the corner you'd be justified in having doubts.
Depending on the tech anywhere from 10s of thousands to upwards of a million.
Meanwhile, they mention in this article costs that a shot from this laser costs about the same as a gallon of diesel.
That is a pretty spectacular cost savings.
Ya, and the best part of this tactic is that as soon as Patent Troll Company ABC files for bankruptcy, magically, Patent Troll Company DEF appears in its place...
The thing is, I doubt they lose all that often. Companies with deep pockets like Nvidia probably just settle with them to avoid a long contracted legal battle.
I never said that AMD and Intel are different. In a monopoly either of those companies would act exactly like Nvidia. What I in fact said was that competition drives down prices and benefits consumers.
It’s just basic economics.
Thats simply not true. In a monopoly the market pays what the manufacturer wants (within reason). That’s why competition is so important. I desperately want AMD and Intel to come out with competing products so that consumers have choice and aren’t constantly at NVs mercy.
Ya that was kind of disappointing. Even more so that the had a sewer and lab level that were pretty similar to RE2. If they were going to cut something they probably should have started there.
I didn't say it made games worse. I just wrapped up playing Mass Effect 1-3 and the series is one of my favorites of all time. The universe is set up specifically to facilitate you creating and owning your own Commander Shepard. That said, Shepard isn't a deep character, he's just a reflection...
Mile wide inch deep. That's what happens when you allow custom characters. There isn't anything wrong with that, games like Mass Effect and TES have been massively successful with that format. But those weren't based on a series of books with established characters and settings. Most of the...
this one really kills me. No idea why they haven’t released a definitive edition of this series that includes all the DLC. They also need to get rid of the multiplayer impacting single player in the third game.
RE3 (remake) was a great game and it was a similar length and quality to the original.
Given that RE4 is already fully plotted out I don't see why they would need to cut anything at all to be honest.
That said, I'd rather see them rebuild the 1st one in this format.
I just pay the Russian price for the vast majority of my games.
79 CAD + 13% tax is too damn much. Given that our dollar is tanking right now, I wouldn't be surprised to see games bumped up to 89 CAD in the very near future.
If you force them to do that there is nothing stopping them from just saying fuck it and letting people stream at whatever bandwidth they can until they internet goes down. Then it becomes the ISPs problem.
All this is academic though. You know that buried in the terms and conditions of every...
Under almost any other circumstance I'd agree with you, but they're basically being ordered to do it by the government so it isn't like it's their fault.
Why not make the ISPs pay for having inadequate infrastructure to support the internet plans they are selling.
