booq bags are awesome. I got mine quite a while ago, so I don't think they sell the exact model anymore. But I would think their newer bags are even better.
Yeah I've tried check/unchecking it several times, and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Oh well...guess it's just something i'll have to live with...
Just wondering if anyone would know why my screen is dimming after a bit of inactivity even when I have the box unchecked in my energy saver option?
Thanks.
Aha, nevermind I got it...had to go and change every directory that it was copying files to manually for the correct permissions...stupid XP.
Thanks for the suggestions Savage.
Alright, so I have an issue with my XP Pro SP2 box when trying to install a printer driver. Every time I try to install a printer, during the last step while copying files, I get an "Access Denied" error box and can't finish adding the printer. I'm trying to hook up to my network printer...
Well that picture is just some !!!!!! art, but you're right. I don't think they'd make a phone with a chrome back. Maybe brushed aluminum? That'd look pretty good...
I can't wait for the widescreen ipod though...all my waiting will be worth it! Or at least it better...
dang, we got some nice setups here. I have to clean my room so i can get my new one up...
and about avoiding the whole projectile vomit thing, that's part of being a freshman :)
Well, my rig is up and running great. One problem however...whenever I try to sync my ipod connected through the firewire port on my Audigy 2ZS, I get a machine error and have to restart. Probably not a good thing. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's the only thing wrong with my build...

Glad to hear you're thinking of trying a mac out. You do know that you can buy a new mac mini for $500 (less if you're a student) right? You'd get the latest version of OSX, which is awesome. As long as you have a monitor, keyboard and mouse, and you don't care if it's a desktop, I'd say go...
...yeaaaah, I'm pretty sure I have some idea of what I'm talking about. Are the current powerbooks not as good as they could be? Yes. Does that mean that someone who NEEDS one NOW shouldn't get one? No. I'm still using a 4 year old powerbook and it's running great. We have no idea when the...
Yeah, and the 12" wasn't refreshed the last time around so it doesn't have the better screen or DDR2 RAM. The advantage of having the IBM chip will be that you won't have to run programs through rosetta (intel emulator) if they haven't been converted yet. All things to consider...
yeah there are always new powerbooks on the horizon, but these ones will be awesome when they come out. if you need a powerbook now, get it. simple as that.
good to hear that it's a good board. i'll be picking one up soon. do you have the board in an inverted case (or does anyone)? just wondering about the temps on the board cause of the headpipe...
haha I know about the waiting around forever thing. Unfortunately, I can't make any purchases until December as I'm stuck in Europe right now. The X2 is sounding very tempting...
I have both, and use them equally. If you want, just get iWork, and use openoffice for spreadsheet stuff. Or don't buy anything and just use openoffice. Free is good.
Alright, so here's my situation: I currently own a PC desktop that doesn't work anymore, but I think some parts are still salvageable. I also own a 4 year old Powerbook that I'm using right now. The powerbook is really showing it's age when it comes to speed (800MHz can only do so much...) so...
Where's the "Other" option? VR headset and sensors all the way! ...ok so that was only once.
Mouse for me. I see people gaming on a touchpad, and I just want to buy a mouse for them...

New powerbooks and powermacs...yeah, I'll believe it when I see it...
Please God let it be true...
I just wish they wouldn't keep us in suspense! I know they're trying to keep stuff from getting to their competitors before the products are released, but it is frustrating. All these rumors aren't helping either...
I'm very excited for this change. forget not buying another apple, try not buying another PC! I really need a new laptop, but it looks like Apple has one more G4 powerbook up their sleeve (I hope..). Otherwise it's gonna be a long wait as I'm not sure if I want a Rev.A MacIntel...
first of all I have to mention the obvious, do you have the latest versions of both adium and MSN? Just checkin...
I've never used adium with yahoo and msn, but msn seems to work just fine. as for it not feeling as "crisp" i'm not sure about that...i have a 800MHz powerbook and it feels...
mmm, I haven't heard any rumors recently, but I'm sure they're working on it. having the cord isn't so bad...but if you can't live without your BT, I'd wait a bit.
