NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

If you don't mind a little bigger, I've build 2 computers for my twins using NR200P. Fits very well on their desktop. You can add some extras with money saved and there is a huge community on Reddit for help or whatever. At first I wanted to get them a M1 each but shipping was done separatly so...

They forgot to update here, where it all started... must be a matter of time before they update.

True, some have a blower but are not sealed on the sides... kinda stupid design if you ask me.

Interesting, do you have a picture how you made it? I wanted to do the same initially when I was planning my build but in the end I only ducted the exit of U9S to outside of case. I wasn't sure how to properly fit/attach a duct on blower hole and on bottom of case.

Depends of configuration, the blower push air in a closed space with heatsink in it way, no escape. While 2 fans blows air on a large surface but I know what you mean. One possibility is that when blower revs fast, it's like a vaccum, sucking surrounding air and can interefere with case air...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I have a 660 Ti blower in one PC and a 1080 Ti blower in the other one. I don't hear any as I control the fans speed with a curve, it's a must or you'll end up with noise. I guess the same need to be done with dual/triple fans cards to better manage noise but like everyone know, at least with...

Same here, I would like a comparison showing non-blower are better and more silent.

For the CPU you can intake from side panel and exhaust on the back. I did this and even use a duct from heatsink to the back so no leak of hot air.

Dunno if you can try my setup? I'm curious. My main idea was to exhaust 100% air from the CPU heatsink with a duct which I did using tunnel tape but maybe you don't have something to replicate the duct.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I would keep it like this, rear on the case and duct the rear to the heatskink... That's what I did so I'm sure that all hot air is going outside with no weird recirculation. Tis is a 3D picture, if you can manage to cross your eyes until the 2 dots on the top overlap perfectly you'll see the...

It works for me... MSI 1080 Ti AERO. I use a fan curve to keep it pretty quiet, I have it set at 52% if 88°C is reached then 100% if 90°C is reached and that never happened or I would have heard it. It sometimes goes in the 80's but again never heard the fan goes 100% so to me it's all good.

Personally I added a duct so all warm air is expusled.

I also didn't want to do crazy OC like I wrote in my build log and you will be able to do the same easily. Just enable XMP so your memory runs at the speed it was mean to and you can set all core to 4.7 without worry and without touching any other setting and you're done. 600W should be well...

Can be loud, you need to use a fan profile and it's just fine. BTW if you plan to go FE, look on my page (see sig) for tips on finding the less noisy ones.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

You can look at my build. I use the U9S in push/pull with duct to fully control air flow. I also have a slim fan on the side to feed U9S.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

And where does hot air go when you move it around PSU!? I think the best option is rear = exhaust and you feed fresh air to U9S from side panel where you can also control dust a bit since a filter is available. But again, air fluid is a complex science...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Ha just like I said above... and what would even be better is to have an intake for the U9S to suck fresh air and exhaust hot air on the back.

No need to be an engineer to know the answer... but then I'm sure some still have no idea. :D The U9S placed horizontally permit an air flow, that C14 with the window no...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Unless you know how to manage the intake... you can have a master intake with an air filter to catch most of dust in a single location. Harder to get a good air flow with positive though...

See signature, my build is there with the same heatsink and duct used to push all air outside the case.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Wrong, my air cooler is feeded with fresh air. You need to think how to achieve it, there are so many possibilities with the numbers of fan the case can support so you need to sit down and think a bit of the best setup.

Anyone else used to put computer in sleep found out the wake time is much faster with Win7 than Win10? With iIn7 I press the power button and enter my account password right away. With Win10 It takes like 5-6 seconds before I see the prompt to open session.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Have you set a fan curve? This currently works for me but I will have to see in the future how it will do. My problem now is that I had to limit the power to not hear the UPS beep all the time when having a load on the video card. I will later get a beefier UPS and then I will push the card...

If you want to exhaust ALL hot air then you can duct one end of CPU cooler to the fan you will attach to back of case, I think I already gave you the link to my build, it's in my signature if you want to have a look. And you want to put CPU then cooler then memory first, and put all of this in...

Exactly like me, I completed my build last month and just updated it, see link in my signature. I don't know if you want to squeeze out every MHz to get max overclock or look for a silent build, I was looking for the latter and finally went from 5GHz to 4.8GHz for some lazy reasons like using...

Anyone with 8700K and NH-U9S? I'm looking for some comparison numbers. What speed your CPU (all cores?) and what temps when you run the CPU stress in CPU-Z for 2 minutes for example?
  38. R

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Nah I don't want to go thst route. Buy the tool and unmount everything... at 48 temps will be better and I'm not afraid of temps, throttle is at 100 so while lower is always better and we all want that, everything under 90 is fine with me.

Hi guys, I've completed my build (see signature) and I was just giving a go a testing more than what I really want because I'm curious so this screenshot shows the highest I've tested yet. This is 51 on all core and the bench running is the one included in CPU-Z. I'm not sure I want to try 52...
