Bottom line for me is that I replace every 5 or 6 years, with a recent exception because I elected to go for the latest and greatest. You spend thousands on hardware, why not a couple of hundred more for piece of mind , efficiency and in some cases, head room or just to avoid the use of adaptors.
I installed mine a short time ago. I like the subtle RGB on the Tuff model. Big card for sure. I also picked up the Seasonic Vertex for native support for PCIE Gen 5 to celebrate. The Vertex is a nice piece of kit and comes with cables that seem to have come straight from the cable mod factory.
It is the only Ultra wide monitor that I know of that appears to match mine for vertical height. Dang. Well 3 or 4 year from now , I will once gain be in the hunt, perhaps by then we will have OLED in this size, the brightness to match and video cards/ cables to drive them at 240 and above.
It was one sweet monitor. The horizontal wires disappeared to my eyes after a bit. Playing Quake using a 3DFX on this looked real 3D. It was awesome. Back to the thread, I have an edu address. Are you telling me that I can buy this thing for 1300 dollars? Don't get me wrong, I love my OLED but...
Thanks, They are just some awards from back in the day when I played a prominent role in developing the cellular retain business model that much of cellular retail subscribed to up until the past 5-8 years where it began to change. The other stuff is just education and certifications. I know...
Yeh, I had the Alienware version 2560x 1600. It was an awesome monitor. The vertical real-estate was there but I just wanted more curve and size. Well 90 days in and I am still over the moon. Low light wide angle shot. It was the only way to get it in the frame. Note the Dell 32 IPS in...
I must admit that I was concerned that I would have buyer's remorse but no sir. This thing has exceeded my expectations. OLED if you are a gamer hands down. The response times, blacks and vivid colors are breath taking. Your mileage may vary as I have the perfect environment for it.
I went 40 series because i game 3440x1440 and i suspect the 50 series is going to be very expensive and more than i need. My gut tells me 40 series dries up soon and AI will have the same impact as mining on the 50 series and therefore and ironically, a win win since if i cannot get what i want...
TTT, will entertain offers for the card only .I can just sell the other items separately or perhaps I should just hang on to it until the 40 series dry up before the 50 series launch and sell it for more on fleabay? PM with what the Hive thinks to avoid anarchy in a for sale thread.(y) or(n)
I have zero burn in issues so far. I have all icons set to hide and use my stream deck to pop my most used apps or web site. I turn off the monitor when I am not using it and leverage all of its processes to prevent burn in. When set to Vivid or FPS, its more than bright enough although I have...
Well, I have a 4080 Super on the way and so this 24GB beast must go in order to make room. I purchased her here in the forum about a year and a half ago. She runs great and is still in my rig. The package includes the 3090, the box that it came to me in, a high quality magnetic aftermarket...
Awesome. The lower PPI is a non issue and overhyped. I love this thing. Its not like I work with my face 8 inches from the screen. The PPI thing is all on paper. Reality is completely different. I am coming from an Alienware IPS 3440 x 1600 with a much tighter PPI and I still prefer this...
I would sell my 3090 today while its still under warranty if I could get 900 for it. Who do you know that is actually willing to pay that? Card in hand lol!!
