In safe mode, it displays just fine on both monitors, however, the desktop is duplicated on both. I cannot change individual settings or anything.
I re-installed catalyst 9.7 (after uninstalling and using driver sweeper) and as soon as windows booted back up again the problem was there.
If I...
Hi people,
It's been a long time since I've been here. Been a little bit out of the loop. Figured, I should probably graduate from college before I got another system.
Well, I went out and invested in the:
MSI 4890 Cyclone OC
MSI 790FX-GD70
AMD Phenom II X4 945
And some generic...
Hi Guys,
This is kind of unrelated to computers, but the heating issue is something I thought you guys might be able to help out with.
Basically, we have this imaging device, can't say much more because it's something we are developing at work.
But we need to displace about 70W of heat...
1 gig of memory. Either 2x512 or just 1 stick. There are a few available for around that at NewEgg

I've been away from the Video Card world for a while, and it was about time for me to upgrade my system.
I've been running:
AMD Mobile Athlon 2600 @ 2.4ghz
Abit Nf7-s Rev 2.0
512 MB Ram
ATI Radeon 9000 (after my Radeon AIW 9700 pro died)
IDE 160GB WD hard drive
SATA Seagate 160GB hard...
I'm selling a 30Gb 7200 RPM Western Digital Hard drive.
$25 plus shipping, prices negotiable.
If you want, I'll include the whole Naruto Anime Series that has been released so far :p
plus the whole manga that's come out so far.
I have heatware under: ratmeleon
I modded my AIW 9700pro and am squeezing everything out of it.
I modded a heatsink, and put it on there instead of the stock one, and i voltmodded the core, and am now running it at 453 core / 370 mem. I haven't even volt modded the ram yet, and am working on making some ramsinks.
well, if you put another heatsink on there, you'll get higher clockspeeds on the core, but to truly reach the limits, you'd have to voltmod to truly take advantage of the heatsink.
In most games you should go up by 5-15 fps i believe, plus the overclock, whatever difference that adds on.
So I just modded my aiw 9700pro.
I put on a stock athlon socket A heatsink (had to cut off some edges and stuff to make it fit)
Then I volt modded, and am running it at 1.95 (I know kinda high)
So I got my core running at 453mhz.
But what surprsied me was that before the volt mod to my...
I've been looking for a site which has bioses for ATI cards, and I can't seem to find one.
I was looking for a bios for the ATI AIW 9700 pro, cuz I'm looking to mod the bios and such.
I was wondering if any of you could recommend a site, cuz I can't seem to find one.
Thanks
Started out with some crappy trident card
ATI Rage 3d 2mb
Hercules Kyro II
ATI AIW9700pro
Next? R520 or GeForce something or the other, whatever is better this summer
I was having problems with my USB ports as well.
I'd bought mine used, and then the ports worked fine for about a week, and then crapped out on me.
So, i had to go to using the ps2 adapter for my mouse, but i eventually flashed to a hacked bios, and figured i'd give the ports another try, and...
I could make and send you a copy, but you'd have to wait a few days until I can go out and buy me some more CD-R's.
Unless you have somewhere I can just upload the image or something like that.
I was just wondering, do NF7-S rev2's handle high fsb's well?
I'm running mine at 240x10.5, and was just kinda concerned, cuz I've heard of motherboards dying off suddenly when running at such speeds...
yep, hoping that the cards to be available around that time, whatever Nvidia has to offer and the R520 by ATI will be worth the upgrade.
Still Running the AIW9700pro, and pushing it to the limits.
Glad I held onto this, because i still haven't really seen the need to upgrade, but it's getting...
i would actually recommend, wainting for the refreshes, and snagging a 6900 ultra or so. or even take the pci-express route. that way, you can sli if you go with nvidia. if you plan on using this system for a few years, i wouldn't recommend an ATI card, because it doesn't have shader 3.0 support.
Even if people get insane frame rates on the VST, that doesn't necessarily mean that you'll be getting that many frame rates in the game. Since the source engine utilizes a lot of cpu power for the calculations of the physics and the AI, and other stuff like that, it will come down to how good...
the only reason i look at those it get a round about idea of what kind of card I have, and how others are performing. I'm not looking for exact scores, when i look at those.
