Thanks limitedaccess. You were close, but it was enough to get my answer. My gigabyte mobo has a on/off charge usb port, so I tried disabling that thru windows (no option thru the bios) and that didnt work. so I googled it and others said to enable the ERP, which worked! Thanks! I was...
Does the LED that illuminates the HyperX logo on the USB dac supposed to be on 24/7? It's on even when my computer is off. Is this the way its supposed to be? It kind of bugs me.
Heres some background info:

so i'm trying to oc my ram which has a default voltage of 1.35v but everytime I turn off the computer and turn it on the voltage gets reset to 1.5v. In the settings it is still set to 1.35 but it shows as 1.5. Anybody else have this problem? I googled and did not see this result anywhere
man this is annoying. Just turned off my computer and turned it on and AGAIN the dram voltage reset to 1.5 instead of the 1.35 I want for the ram (which is stock at 1.35)
anybody else having the problem of the bios not saving the last saved settings? last night i saved the ram settings, and this morning the voltage was changed. So i re-saved it, did some testing, then turned it off. 1 hour later i turned it on and the voltage was changed again
i will have to check on the mobo (gigabyte z77 ud5h). I ran linx for 20 runs and got 89 GFlops using 11/11/11/28 1600 @ 1.5 and it was fine. I guess its time to fine tune
so I should set my ram to stock? Is that just for the burn test? (ie if it passes then i can change the ram again?) I ask because stock the ram is 11/11/11/28 1600 @ 1.35v (samsung 30nm)
so my stock i7 3770k fails the intel burn test sometimes. I am stock with a super mega cooler and dual ap-15's. Temps never get higher than 63 on the highest temp core and 58 on the lowest temp core. Any ideas?
i use one of those wrist bands that has a connector on the end that i crimp onto the psu, although in all honesty this is overkill, unless you plan on building ure computer on carpet that is prone to static, and even then you most likely wont have an issue.
I have some older SATA cables and they say 1.5gb/s, but wanted to know if they were like hdmi cables meaning if it works it works. are they "forward" compatible?
my bad experiences with asus made me choose gigabyte. in fact, i've never personally used gigabyte (although i've bought them before for other rigs and have had no problems) but my new mobo and card are gigabyte.......crossing my fingers! i've had decent experiences with evga but would rather...

according to sapphire and several reviews, it is a 2.5 slot card. I do have time to wait, but am getting impatient lol
which would you choose? i purposely posted in the amd forum since i have more experience with ati/amd. I don't like the fact that the sapphire uses 3 slots but i do like 2 mini dp
so the ref cards are usually hotter and louder, but dump that heat outside of the case? while the non ref are quieter and cooler but dump heat into the case?
lol looks like i found out. i can run 3 monitors + 1. too bad theres only 1 dp (which i know most people don't like but since all 3 of my monitors have it i like it)
so what is nvidia's version of eyefinity? I know i can run 4 monitors from the 670 but can i game with 4? i've been an ati/amd user for over a decade and this might be my first nvidia purchase in a long time. are there any differences? I do like having 1 dvi and 2 dp but i don't think its...
