I just did some unreal engine compiling and the max temp it produced was 98c and the total wattage (with monitor) was a max 711 watts. I never saw it get to 100c so I assume it never throttled. It was avg around 90c for the most part.
I finally was able to build my system and I just used the thermalright bracket. Using MSI S360 AIO my everyday work usage is around 38c. I played some BF2042 maxed out and the CPU only went to a max 65c. I haven't ran cinebench yet to see how the max thermal usage. I probably will do that...
What I did was slowly lower it by turning each screw 45 degrees until I got resistant where it wouldn’t turn. Basically lowering it down. Do not do tighten it beyond that.
Was finally able to build my PC after working for months to acquire the parts.
13900K, MSI Z790 Carbon WIFI, 4TB WD SN850X Nvme, 64GB DDR5 6000, MSI 4090 Gaming Trio, MSI S360 AIO, Fractual Meshify 2, Seasonic Vertex GX1200.
Beast of a computer and it actually is running very efficient. About...
I expect that raptor lake will still beat the new 3D chips in both single and multi threads applications. The 3D chips will shine in certain games that can take advantage of the extra cache as well as being better efficient. For me it isn’t enough and the 13900K is still the better chip for my...
Looks like this review had issues and had to swap out the paste so I might just go ahead and do that:

I haven't found anywhere that states what compound they use but tomshardware used Arctic MX-4. I am thinking they cleaned it off and used that for review comparisons. Surely it has some good stuff pre-applied since it is a halo product.
I think I am just going to wait 2 weeks. If they push it out again then I might consider. My system is a 13900K, 4090, MSI S360 AIO. I think 1200 watts is plenty for this. It might push up to 800 watts at max.
The only thing that is holding me back on this one is that it doesn't have OTP (Thermal Protection) and the fan is crazy loud at 50db:

Very tempting. Don’t really need the extra wattage but it is a good price and the fact that I could finish my build next week versus who knows when is making me itch to get this. On the other hand the Seasonic probably is better quality but would I even notice that.
Got the msi bundle from msi website. Contains the msi z790 carbon motherboard and S360 AIO. I also ordered the Seasonic vertex that is on back ordered.
