I have a new in box (and wrapper) Linksys E4200v2 wireless N router as well as a new in box (and wrapper) Linksys RE1000 wireless N range extender.
I'm sure you know the specs on these devices but if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Where I work, they use Aspect phones for the employees, and to record all inbound/outbound calls they use Verint. Allows searching for calls by incoming or outgoing phone #, aspect phone ID #, etc.
Hit me up if you have more questions
They charge that much because their equipment backs it up. Why do you think all of the major designers swear by it and all those big companies use them? You get what you pay for. They are also one of the/if not THE only hosting provider with a dedicated website built strictly for the iPhone...
And exactly how does upload matter in a home environment? Don't even give me "Running a server" as a response because its a violation of most ISP's TOS.
When the service drops out, does the normal modem lights remain on or do they go off?
I work for a cable company so we deal with coax lines instead of the tele lines, but it will still help.
If the modem lights remain on, the wireless may be getting interference or just a shitty wireless...

The way most dynamic systems work is the modem has a local IP (usually in the 10.x.x.x), but the modem assigns the global IP to the first attached device, whether it be a computer, router or whatever.
So...try changing whats plugged in to the modem to...
You won't notice a damn thing until you start transferring data between the network, and even then, it won't be 1 GB/s. Maybe 300-400 mb/s. I'd suggest running Cat6 between them as well.
Clanservers.com has them for about $20 a month for what your looking for. Save yourself the time and effort and just go with them. I use them, feel free to use my referral link if you want to be nice :) Click here
Take care
I've actually used those before, very easy to setup and still working good for the client. Haven't heard of any hiccups with them.
The D-Link business class lineup is pretty solid.
Best of luck
If you take it to a remaining open store, they most likely will make good on it. Atleast that's what we do around here at the store I work at. If they arn't willing to give you your money back, offer to accept a gift card instead, or use it towards another purchase of higher value, they most...
I had the same router, my internet would totally suck. I had constant timeouts on webpages, etc.
My resolution? I bought the new Apple Airport Extreme Base Station. Works like a charm :)
Alright thanks for the help.
I figured I could do the host header method using DNS...but its really not that worth it to me....going to server1/student1 isnt that big of a deal.
Also, if Im using just a basic router (say an off the shelf d link router) will that do the job in supplying IP...
Hello,
Im trying to setup a test enviroment for my high school (Yes, I'm a student there).
Anyways, I have a server that I'm trying to setup as a way for the computer shop to access their personal websites on a "intranet". Basically there will be this server, a router, and about 15 client...
It's rather funny...when the script determines that your computer isn't what they are looking for, they offer you to pay CompUSA money to dispose of it. (Usually between $20-75)
I had a customer in the other day and had a situation like this, they thought I was making fun of them and that I...
I work in Tech at CompUSA as well...I was bored one day so I was playing around with it and how it determines the value. For a brand new Core 2 Duo with 2 GB of memory and a 100 GB hard drive, the value was around $340. Don't waste your time with this.
The rules say you have to use the credit...
I'm not a fan of flash based sites, and I think most people will agree with me here that it makes it very hard to index the site in search engines, making it come up very low on search engine results.
I think you would have been better off with a basic CSS/XHTML based website, but that's just me.
