I had a BFG 7900GT that started artifacting, and the BFG RMA service was speedy and efficient. They actually crossed shipped the card in this instance because the card was for my workstation.BFG is top notch in my book.

I need to get some data off of a laptop hard drive. Can I just connect the laptop hard drive to a 3.5" external HDD case and get the data onto my PC? I mean are the connectors the same specs for a laptop HDD as a PC HDD?

I accidently left my external HDD plugged in when I was about to format my C: drive. I only got to the step where I deleted the partitions. So now my external is blank when I plug it into my laptop. Is there anyway to recover the data since I didn't actually format yet?

Turns out there was not enough AS5 on the heatspreader, which was causing the psu to shut off to pre-emptively stop overheating of the cpu. Or at least that's what we think it is because applying more AS5 seemed to solved the problem...for now.

It's a cheap 400 w Raidmax psu that we bought because we thought the old one was defective. We're trying to clear the cmos right now. Any suggestions or isight would be awesome!

Is the start up and recover options in msconfig or within the computer management?

I installed XP on my C: drive and Vista RC-1 on my D: drive. I have since formatted the D: drive through the Computer Management settings. However, when I boot my comp it still asks whether I want to boot Vista or XP. How do I get rid of the Vista option and just boot straight into XP?
