Well i was able to get the MBR fixed last night by having only Drive 0 connected. I was also able to browse my files through notepad in the recovery console :p. However i did everything i could think of to find a way to get into safe mode so that i could get the new driver in place, but no dice...

You could run some tests against the hard drives to see how many bad sectors you have etc. There is a free program you can download to check that but i cant think of it off hand. I'll keep digging up those brain cells and post up a link to it when i remember :D

Had an idea last night. If i have just one of my raid drives, like drive 0, connected, could i get the MBR and driver issues fixed on that drive and then rebuild the array so it has the new info? Or would that be a better question for the hard drive forum?

and for the record, i did not open any attachments in outlook

Yea, i told windows to install the updates, and then it said to reboot and now im fucked. :( i hope its not a root kit because all i did today was update the drivers and open outlook :(

I updated to 1237 which is the recomended one to get this processor to work. Im scared to upgrade it to the latest (1238) for fear that it wont boot at all (experienced this last night)
