Hey everyone, so in the middle of what I thought was a routine bios update via a usb stick and ez flash 2, the update process hung on the erasing boot block step. Initially, I thought it was just taking extra long, so I left it there for about half an hour and came back to the exact same...
i'll take one if you have any left, but i dont meet the posting requirements you just posted :(. but here's my email anyways if you're feeling generous: [email protected] . Thanks!
Before running bootvis and it's optimization function, it would take roughly around 3 cycles of the blue bar to get to the login screen, then from the login screen to desktop, it would lag a little. After running bootvis, the complete opposite occured, now it would take around 10 bars to get to...
nope, that didn't seem to work either :(. The raptor was on one primary ide channel alone, and I set the other device to none. Then the dvd drive and seagate was on the other primary ide channel, Both of the secondary ide devices had no devices so i set all four of those to none, and the two...
Im currently using a 74 raptor (8mb version) as the boot drive in my shuttle sn21g5 (nforce4 410). I noticed that the boot times in regarding to the windows logo with the blue bars was taking a surprisingly long time. On my old sn95g5 (nforce3 ultra) with the same HD setups, itd take around 3...
Ive been running a Shuttle SN95G5v1.2 (nForce3 ultra) for close to two years now with a winchester 3200 and 2x512 Kingmax PC3200 Rams at 2.5-3-3-6-1T, and it has been stable as a rock. About half a month ago though, I decided to finally ugprade and get an X2 4400+ and update the system to its...
Now I've been out of the whole video card loop for a couple of months now, but I was just browsing around the video cards section of newegg and found that the AIW version of the x800xt is $340 while the regular x800xts are still 400+. Now if I remembered correctly, shouldn't the aiw versions...
A comp that I recently built for my friend is having some problems. He's been getting bsods in games, and constant missing file errors. He just tried formatting it and got another bsod during the windows format using a windows cd with slipstreamed sp2. The hd is a seagate 120 SATA II w/ncq and...
the hsf on those things look really cheap also, like the 9800 pros. On an high end card like that, you'd expect at least a cooler equivalent to that of the x800 pro's and xt's.
I've got two sticks of 512 kingmax pc3200 (red pcb's) for sale. SPD for these rams at 3200 is 2.5-4-4-8, but I have mines stable at 2.5-3-3-6 with stock voltages, results may vary though. I'm look at around 110 + shipping to any continental us state for these.

oh dammit, meanieman i just read your post and realized how big of a moron I am. The firewire headers on my dfi lanparty nf2 ultra b caught on fire a couple of months ago and I never thought of trying to rma it. Instead I just threw it out thinking that it was a lost cause because it was...
another slight problem he's been having is that 2d text is kind of blurry. He's running the 67.03 drivers on a 17" sony lcd. Can this be a psu problem?
Just finished building it, everything seems to be fine. All of the rails are solid and there doesn't seem to be any stability problems even though we haven't stressed it yet. The only problem im worried about is not having any fans in the rear. The case came with two in the front, and one on the...
Im building my friend a comp and he's kind of on a budget in the psu department. The rest of the parts that I got him were:
MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum NF3 Ultra
AMD64 3000+ Winchester
NEC ND-3520A
Seagate 120GB SATA II W/NCQ (I know ncq is useless now, but it was the only sata drive on mwave...
From what I've heard, they're all on backorder right now on the site even though it still shows that it's in stock. There's supposedly a bunch in stock at the outlets and they prices are the same.
You would most likely need to do a format of windows when you put in your new motherboard. Seeing as how it'll be a completely different chipset, chances are it might not even boot into windows, and if it does, you'll probably take some performance hits and instability as well. Safe thing to do...
Just install the forceware from nvidia, they work fine with the msi cards.
Edit: oops sorry, posted without finish reading the rest of your post. I didn't encounter this with my old msi card, as soon as I uninstalled the msi drivers and installed the normal drivers, those tabs would go away...
Hey I might be interested in selling my front panel since I just moved over to a SFF and don't have an extra bay for the panel. I gotta look for some of the accessories like the other faceplate and nobs and make sure I have all the wires together. Lemme know if you're interested and how much...
yeah the serial number was on the packing list, and just to make sure, I lifted up my dvd-rom and saw that the numbers were the same. Thanks for the info guys.
Just got my new raptor and things does appear to be faster, but boot times still seem kind of slow (5 bars for windows to load). I was just wondering if installing the nforce ide drivers will help with boot times and overall performance. Personally, I've stayed away from these drivers since the...
I just finished installing my raptor in my shuttle and forgot to copy down the serial number for the rebate. I was just wondering if the serial number is on the newegg receipt that came with the hard drive, or is there any other way to get it without taking it apart again. Thanks.
Here's what I did in steps:
1) Uninstall everything nvidia related, including chipset drivers, through the add/remove menu.Unhook your ethernet cable and reboot.
2) Tap F8 on bootup so you can get into safe mode.
3) Once in safe mode, run drivers cleaner on everything nvidia related and...
