Info needed before purchase of X99 Deluxe & 5820k. Can Someone tell me if I can use my 290X in the first X16 slot and 3 HVR-2250 PCIeX1 cards in the remaining x16 slots w/out a problem?
Flashed to 1850, What ever broke flashing from 1702 to 1703 is remaining broke.........1850 will still not let the computer use XMP settings and wake....... now when it trys to wake from sleep I get 3 beeps and it trys to reboot..... pushing memok button does nothing.... No overclock right now...
What's stopping me is the scenario that has happened to most, the new board does the same or has more problems and the time and labor I'm down to fix a problem that Asus is doing little to address if another board fixed it to break down the road.
No I don't believe all boards have the issue...
I followed Raja's instructions to a "T". On flash procedures. I was stable for over 3 weeks mild over clock and sleep worked flawlessly. I flashed it to 1703 broke something. Even with a flash back. I can now not use XMP or manual memory settings. The board will hang or take for ever to load...
with PLL OV off and a stable system that would sleep on 1702 bios. The only change I made was to updated to 1703 and now cant get a stable system or sleep to work....... I only updated the bios........ and flashing back to 1702 did nothing the boards broke .....can't over clock stable and no...
Ok, I need y'alls help. As mentioned earlier everything was working great before flashing from 1702 to 1703.
Well now the only way for sleep to work is everything set to auto and no over clock. If I only change the memory to xmp sleep is broke. Change it to manual sleep us broken. Setting...
Well I made a Stupid Mistake.... I updated a perfectly stable P8P67 Deluxe system that would sleep with bios 1702 to 1703 only to break the sleep. I flashed back to 1702 but no matter what I do at the same settings I had in bios 1702 sleep is broken.... I truly believe this is an ASUS Bios issue...
It's under the Ai Tweaker tab. When you highlight it it will show you default voltage value in right hand top of screen. use the + to navigate to that voltage then + one more time.
I was having problems resuming from standby when I had 16GB of ram in the system. did not matter overclocked or stock settings. If I removed 8GB it would resume correctly. this is how I fixed my problem YRMV.
I upgraded to bios 1702 and I bumped up DRAM Data REF and Ctrl REF voltage on...
I would ask for help over at Guru3D, but they take things to personal over there.......
I did a Step up from an 8800 GTX to an Ultra since it was only $40......Now no matter what I do I can't get RivaTuner to auto control my fan Cycle.... 163.11 and RivaTuner 2.02
Every thing worked...
I have an EVGA 8800GTX, and my step up ends in 2 days. I could upgrade to the 8800Ultra for $40 + shipping.
Should I do it or stick w/my 8800GTX?

I've skimmed this post, but didn't see the exact problem I'm having.....
When my computer wakes up from sleep, the DVI connection icon comes up and stayes on screen sometimes up to 3 minutes.
Is there a fix for this or is the monitor going out? I've had the monitor since Feb.
Thanx, Brasco
You can set up your fans like this in your P-180. My overclocked 8800GTX idles at 55c, loads 68c, and overclocked E6600 idles at 28c loads at 52c. I have 5 yateloons, and 1 tricool.
Hope this helps,

Nvidia 158.24 beta drivers are the only drivers to date that have let my computer return from sleep. :D
You might try those if your running Nvidia cards.

I guess I will have to load XP this weekend and rule VISTA out.:o
I looked at that link before posting here about this. I wish the stupid error would give more info on which hardware encountered the error, but it doesn't and I've replaced every piece of equipment except the processor...
Heres the Deal Rig in my SIG!. I have RMA'd everything, but the processor.
If I overclock by as little as 1mhz I get a KERNEL-WHEA event ID2 error in event manager. As long as I leave the processor at 266X9 I never get the error.
The system is stable at 3.2 (356x9) or (400x8). I can run 2...
Well I broke the RAID array, and loaded Vista multiple times on multiple drives as IDE, I'm Still getting the KERNEL-WHEA error. some thing about memory heirarchy. I don't have the exact error, it was late when I quit.
So I don't know if it's my processor or the motherboard or my ram...
How do I find what revision they are? and what info can I provide to help narrow this down?
It happens randomly so I can't tell what is causing this.
Thanks for the input......Anymore is always welcome.
