Any middle aged (20's+ clans recruiting?) I have a long history of battlefield games and I'm looking to get back into this game with a clan...... if you have a clan that is recruiting please pm me.
I have an old system where the motherboard went and I'm looking for a working replacement.... if you could help me for a reasonable price I'd be more then happy.
PM Me if you are inquiring, because I may not check this thread.
:o
I'm going to be building a new system.
It will have about 6 hdd's that I want to access from another computer.
I dont know if I need a network pci card or if the lan port on the motherboard will connect them for me.
I would also like to play games on this PC, so I have to use windows 7...
I have a gigabyte ga-ep45-ud3r motherboard with windows vista 64 bit ultimate installed.
I used to be able to get into bios, I was messing around with some of the boot settings that are located when you right click the power button > properties. I might have messed something up, but I'm not...
I'm looking for a cheap-ish card that will run my old system, which will house music and movies... It's monitor is going to be a TV. I've never done this before so I'm wondering how its done and the downsides to doing it.
My TV has HDMI inputs. I'm guessing this would be the cleanest way...
- friend is playing with a larger monitor... and a slower gpu
- apps running: maybe just firefox and all the stuff windows has going in it... i dont shut any of that down
---- I'm running vista 64bit ultimate
- I only disabled the pop up crap, i forget what that stuff is called
- Slow when...
It takes about 30 seconds or maybe even 45 seconds when I alt-tab when playing tf2 or far cry 2. Far cry two does not play anything like it should, i have a friend that has a similar computer and he runs the game way better then me.
I have a dell 2005 fpw
Yes, I have latest drivers for all hardware.
Here is my 3dmark vantage score:: P11778
gpu score: 9746, cpu score: 31464
gpu test 1: 29.4 fps, gpu test 2: 27.6 fps
Heres all the important parts that I can think of:::
processor: Intel q6600
MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R
GPU: EVGA GTX 260
CD Drive: ASUS
RAM: mushkin (2 x 2GB) SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit
HDD: 160gb Raptor
I think the next step is to benchmark the shit out of my system.
Its been operating for a few weeks but alt tabbing inbetween games takes forever, and other issues like that. I built this system for gaming but its so slow with the 2 games that I currently have installed. (Far cry 2, TF2)...
Apparently vista only reads partitions... so I had to format and partition my new HDD... I have to go back to my vista system to read all my old hdd's with my gb's of music on them
sorry, that sig is my old system...
I should have included what this system entailed in my original post...
- GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
- ocz game x stream power supply
- EVGA GTX 260 nvida card
- 170gb raptor HDD
- Q6600
I just purchased and put together a new system and installed vista on it. First time vista user.
Heres the problem:
I usually disconnect my data harddrives when messing with the harddrive that my OS is on, and only install games and other misc stuff that i dont care about losing to this...
Alright, heres the current problem
I usually disconnect my data harddrives when messing with the harddrive that my OS is on. So Only one hdd is connected when installing windows, etc....
Now I just plugged in two harddrives with info all on them, music, movies, etc... and windows is not...
alright, I just installed the vista drivers for my card and now everything is working peachy fine.
my tech friend said nividia didnt support xp anymore or some shit
Alright my vista install stopped at "expanding files: 43%"
Might be a bad disc...
I'm just afraid to install XP HOME 32 bit because that did not work before - driver mishaps with 4bit color.
