Legacy of the Ancients (C64) - The game felt ahead of its time and had decent minigames for gambling and stat boosting, bank robbery and some cool dungeons. It also had some rather draconian copy protection.
I don't know if there's a legal way to obtain and play this game anymore.
I...
Somewhere down the road, if you get a chance and haven't done so already, try playing as a mage with Morrigan, Wynne and Alastair, then later replace Alastair with Oghren. Three mages in a party is pure badassery and the dialogue between the two tanks and Morrigan/Wynne can be hilarious.
I'd...

The Goon/BoB drama alone filled up a giant thread in the gaming section here for a time, and resulted in the dissolution of the(?) biggest corporation in the game. Goon induced drama and espionage alone is good for some pretty tall tales.
I wonder if the movie will show anything about...
You could say it's hard to get happy or sad about it since it can be used to treat bipolar disorder.
Source: An unfortunately long string of girlfriends in the '90s.
When I was on there were vehicles sitting around that would respawn periodically. There were a couple hundred people on and finding transportation wasn't a huge problem as long as you avoided the teleport points (like the main airport.)
It was a mix of mostly empty area (huge game world), a...
It's been in development for awhile and it's been mentioned here from time to time. The first public beta was July 1st, 2012.
I only caught the last couple hours and didn't participate in any real testing. There's a little lag here and there with models but overall it played pretty well and...
Good call, that's definitely a problem. The select/delete functions from Photos would be a huge improvement to email.
Heh, that would make Joel Spolsky article.
The Lumia 920 seems to be the popular W8 phone.
I picked up the HTC 8X last week as my first smartphone and the UI is amazing. The only reason I chose this phone was because of its shape; it's very slim, fits my hand well and comes with a rubberized back (yay for no bulky cover.) [edit]...

I stumbled across the end of the last open beta and it was a blast. Worth checking out if you like JC2.

The client download will be available from the website when the beta starts. You need a working copy of JC2 to participate.

Fucking arr4ws!! :p
There doesn't seem to be much in the world that I haven't seen already but it's been fun exploring.
I keep getting the feeling that the Langoliers are going to show up any minute and devour this dead world.
That's probably where I got it from; you linked to it in a post on this thread or the other big hardcraft thread. I wasn't clear what I mean by calling it your 'save'.
Not that I see.
I remember seeing a screenshot of this pyramid once. BabyBlue and DyNamiC. have labels in this. I think this is one of Nick's old saves.

Miss you guys!
I have this world downloaded from somewhere but never played on it, and I spent some time walking around thinking it might be an area of the hardcraft I played on.
It's clearly in the hashmang era, can anyone name the world? I only have two pics available at the moment...
Dat narration. If there's ever a Myth redux on Kickstarter I'm all over it.
I've played games of UNO that we simply quit in disgust because no one could go out.
Cribbage gets my nod for a board game I can always play.
Three-and-a-half pages before I found what I was looking for. I...
Crysis pre-release: People hyping it endlessly, with Cevat Yeril yapping about things that may or may not happen
Crysis post-release: Trolling galore, cries of 'unoptimized piece of shit' (Crysis 1) or 'doesn't rape my GPU' (Crysis 2).
People comparing Crysis 1 to an online deer hunting...
I was very happy with Win 8 CP on my laptop, but 'upgrading' to the release version didn't go well. It was very sluggish, with 100% disk use for no reason whatsoever. That has apparently been a problem for various people going back to February.
So the laptop's running Win 7 and there's no...
Fuck me, I didn't see that post, thanks. I always try to paste prtscrn to paint unless the game gives me some sort of indication it saved one--which I may have also missed. I enabled Fraps pretty early into my playthrough.
You have heard of SA and 4chan, yes?
User reviews are garbage. Forum impressions from people that actually play the game can be useful, but that is highly dependent on the forum (see: Crysis 2 in the gaming section).
I think this dropped early in Act 3 and immediately doubled my damage output. The final boss dropped a 2H unique hammer that just eked out this one in damage, so the sword got immediately consigned to the gem recovery bin.
Difficulty was at normal so the 1% heal chance was worthless, because...
Ultima IX - At least one of the developers was on the official forums basically admitting 'Yeah, it's a piece of shit. Sorry.' Shortly after that the forums disappeared.
I'd call ToEE a misfire. The game was a blast and fun to play, but Atari pushed Troika to get it out the door way, way too...
I think that's going to depend on the difficulty. The art style and music definitely set the mood, and the game itself feels like a mix between an adventure game and a party based RPG. There's not many games to compare it against but I'm getting an old school vibe from it.
I like it so far.
This is a question of ignorance and not leading to anything, but--what's the major selling point of Tekkit?
More stuff to play with?
Second, what's the major problem with genning up a shitload of diamonds or whatever? There's virtually no griefing and no real economy at this point.
Berserkers have the slash attack, execute chance, and it seems like Frenzy is hitting with both weps more often than not. Plus more potential gem slots, and your fist weps ignore armor.
It's insane to see how fast a Berserker can mow down large groups of mobs. I'll probably never play another...
Fallout: New Vegas - My 5 yo laptop with worse specs (dual core 1.6) can run it, barely.
Make sure you blow the dust off the HSF if you haven't already.
Shift click hasn't been working for me. Items don't move, and fish get applied to my pet.
Now that I think of it more, it's probably one of those annoying 'fuck you, lefthanded mouser' things.
There is character in the first town that lets you buy your spent skill points back. Nice touch.
Lots of nice touches in this game, but I have yet to figure out how to quickly transfer items to my pet.
Level 1x Berserker, and whaling on things with exotic brass knuckles has never been so...
If they can bring back the fun combat of DA:O and add real consequences, I'm all in. Naturally, I'll wait for the suckers to shell out their $60 to see what happens.
<3 suckers
This is good timing for me because I don't play coop or anything online besides Minecraft. Torchlight 2 will hold me for a long time--I had ~220 hours in TL1 and am currently playing it some more in prep. for TL2. By the time that's said and done and after some more Minecraft, Borderlands 2...
