I could, but ultimately it wouldn't be what I prefer as visitors who would actually take a seat will be rare. I will be using the computer almost 98% of the time spent in the office.
Do you think mounting it to the desk will be an issue given that it's manufactured wood? It's one of those Bush Furniture Executive desks. Not sure if those are stury enough to endure the mounting/weight of the monitors. Thoughts?
I'm looking for suggestions on how to setup dual monitors on an executive desk that can allow me to still talk to someone seated in front of the desk if needed. I don't mind having to move the monitors in order to view someone in front of me.
It's a large excecutive desk, classic rectangular...
Moved to a new home and one PC will not have ethernet access. I built the PC back in December 2020.
It has a ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING motherboard and the router is a TPI-Link AC1750.
Looking for suggestions on a wifi card. Let me know if you think I will need to replace the router too or I...
I am needing to upgrade the living room TV. Looking for something at least 70", but not anything 80" or above. I looked at the following for guidance. I've never owned an OLED, so not sure if burnout is a common issue. I was hoping to stay under 3K for purchase, so any thoughts on that...
I know new hardware is being released next month and prices should drop. However, I'm not looking to build a top of the line system so I don't think waiting is going to make much difference and plus I could use the computer now. Something in between the mid to high range. Around $1500 or so is...
For me, I would like to see the environment/landscape/city etc. change as your actions evolve. This is done already to a modest degree in some games, where you can build up towns a little, NPC's are walking around, but it would be nice if it were a bit more robust. Some realism would be nice...
I see what you're talking about now. I've started the other tutorials now. I have to find a way to better maneuver the ship via remapping the keys though as I do not have a joystick.
Just started playing a few days ago. Like others, it's been awhile since I've played an FPS like this; first time for BR as well. Is it me or do people pretty much stay put? I'm not saying they're camping, but doesn't seem like there is a lot of activity aside from the first few minutes.
I bought this keyboard new back in 2018. I would like a mechanical keyboard to use for my work computer, but don't want to pay $70. Anything comparable to this?
In general I agree with this. I amassed a large wishlist of games until I was able to build a new PC. After I built the PC, I started playing the games from my list and noticed there was a level of familiarity as he stated. I started gravitating towards games that were more story driven or in...
So let's say I do the Corsair H100i. The case comes with 1 exhaust fan in the rear and there are 2 intake fans in the front.
Do you:
A) mount the AIO radiator on top, if yes, in a exhaust or intake orientation
or
B) mount the AIO radiator on the front, assuming an intake orientation...
Yeah, the question I have is can I fit that thing into the case I mentioned above with Trident Z memory? I am currently looking for builds where this might be possible.
If I went with the 8700k, what CPU cooler would be recommended? I am not familiar with AIO's, so I was still thinking HSF. I was going to go with a Phanteks Enthoo Pro M Tempered Glass case. If I went with the Trident Z memory, what cooler would provide clearance for this?
Edit: What about...
I might OC in the future. Honestly, I have never done it so I am unfamiliar with the process.
Does the Strix Z370-H pose any problems? I didn't see a reason NOT to get it, but searching around the internet it seems that there are differences of opinions, but none substantiated by multiple...
Not certain I see much of an advantage to the E vs. the H version. I mean, it looks like a USB 3.1 Gen 2 connection in the front, wifi and bluetooth and that's about it. Am I missing something?
It appears the E and F versions of that Mobo would be reasonable to consider. G and I are for different form factors if I am not mistaken. Not sure what the H version is about.
1) What will you be doing with this PC? - GAMING and web browsing
2) What's your budget? 2-3K, possibly a bit more
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible. Austin, TX
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? See below
5) If reusing any...
So literally out of the blue I have had some connection issues with my desktop. I have made no hardware changes, software changes, OS updates, etc...
Here's what happens as an example, I wake up the computer from being asleep and I have no desktop internet access. However, the wireless still...
Hey SinisterDei -
I've been educating myself since these lasts posts, including reviewing your part selection (which I appreciate BTW).
Couple of questions:
1. With regards to the memory selected, why DDR-2666? Any reason not to go beyond that? (I vaguely recall the importance of CAS...
