So I was having serious issues with my system due to the Fall Creators Update.
Long story short my system was turning off in games during 3d accelerated scenes, before any 3d video was displayed. Menus without any rendering was fine, but as soon as 3d scenes came out, boom, straight off.
Turns...
PSA that weird shit happens.
I'd been having a very strange issue with my system since Saturday. 3d accelerated scenes were causing my computer to power off. No CTD, no BSOD, just off. 90% of the time I'd have to power cycle the PSU and wait for caps to discharge before it'd power on again, 10%...
The people saying Q3 aren't entirely wrong. Financially, July 1st is the start of Q3 so the revenue from Vega will be booked in Q3. Releasing half way through June isn't going to change that much.
And? They still have it. The article doesn't even mention that fact. Even if it did, I doubt they'd go into any detail as to WHY they're getting out of it. It's a pretty bad article.
Dell bought EMC last year, forming Dell EMC... So this means Dell now owns VMware. They also offer a cloud service called vCloud Air.
Technically you're right, there isn't a cloud service with "Dell" in the name, but that's splitting hairs.
I'm not saying the product is great, hell, they're...
A good set of headphones and a clip on or magnetic mic is always going to be the best option. In 6 months when the mic dies, you only have to replace that rather than the whole headset.
I have a viewsonic VP2030b that just caffed it last week or it'd be that, but the 3007WFP-HC's the viewsonic left behind have been working fine since 2007.
"A contract is a contract" is fine, but the fact that these contracts exist at all is source of outrage. "Because the risk is high" is horseshit, you're telling me that getting paid over 1000x the median wage in America isn't compensation enough? Ok then.
I know this isn't helping, but relying on an 8 year old HD as your sole storage point for very important stuff isn't an optimal solution...
Back on topic. The sound you are describing either indicates that there has been damage done to either the heads, or the "alignment track" on the platters...
Every one of my Seasonic (or Seasonic built) power supplies are still working strong, but if I had to pick one it would be my X-1050. Runs cool, quiet, built like a tank, and the detailed wiring diagrams were invaluable for building my custom wiring harnesses.
Must be willing to ship to Canada, as that's where I live, and I don't compute over long distances very well.
Offering $400 shipped for the 980x, $475 shipped for the 990x.
Shipping must be trackable and insured. Payment will be via verified paypal and will be in USD, unless you want Canadian...
DSLR's are the pinnacle of the camera world because they are reconfigurable for any number of imaginable activities through interchangeable lenses. This is the same reason why they are so expensive. My 7D is a minor part of the investment compared to the running total of lenses I have.

Have you had any issues with the monitor attached to that adapter not waking up from sleep? It seems to go full retard on me once a week requiring a reboot and a number of rounds of disable/enable.
Last time I did a repair install it deleted the partitions on all of my data drives and I lost 7tb worth of stuff... 2 weeks of data recovery was not fun.
The only reason to replace the OS drive after you've done your migration is if it dies. Really. There is no need for a 1tb landing zone. If you will only ever have 4 drives in your system, then it may make some sense to get a larger drive, but if you will be adding more down the road, who cares...
This is also what I've done.
Remember, there is no such thing as too much power, only too little. If you have hardware kicking around unused, just use it. It's cheaper than going out and buying an atom and board, besides if you ever want to do encoding/transcoding or any other fun thing...
