I pulled the trigger on a refurbished machine from Newegg. Quad core, bunch of ram, SSD, and 1080 display. Hopefully it lasts me 4-5 years. What do you guys think?

Update - Went to use the laptop to stream the UFC 202 fight tonight and it didn't go well. Wouldn't connect to my WiFi, so I restarted. Then it wouldn't boot. I then snapped it in 2 pieces over my knee. Can someone lead me to a good New machine for my needs? I don't want to have to load an OS...
That doesn't sound like something I know how to do. If the laptop doesn't boot with the new processor, I'm going to assume that's the problem? It came in the mail yesterday and I'm likely going to install it, or at least try to, today.
I appreciate all of the advice. I think I'm going to pick up the processor linked above for $15 and see if it helps. I just grabbed a fire stick yesterday when Amazon had them for $25 so it's likely I'll be using the laptop even less than I do now.
Am I going to be able to swap out the CPU myself? I'm clearly not experienced with this sort of thing. The M4600 listing he has is a 15.6" screen, 16GB ram, grade C condition, no OS, and $529 - Substantially more than the others.
Don't game anymore on the PC. I don't even really use the laptop for web browsing much either. I mainly download torrents and then watch the movies via HDMI cable to my TV. My current processor is terrible at multi tasking which ends with me wanting to snap the thing in half.
I checked out the link to the laptops and it seems like a good deal, just a smaller screen than I'm used to. If I could change from 4GB to 8GB in my current machine, would I even notice the difference? I essentially only use it to stream movies at this point.
I've got an older Toshiba Satelite A505-S6965 and it's a bit slow. Takes 15 seconds or so just to load up Google Chrome. Should I try to upgrade the Ram, and maybe even the processor? It has 4GB (2x2GB) with a max of 8. Will upgrading to a 2x4 setup make a noticeable difference? Crucial 2x4GB...
im using a 3 rca cable setup right now.. 1 for video and the other 2 for sound. the YPbPr is a 5 cable setup, 3 for video and 2 for sound. what do i need to run it like that? i tried the crappy RCA cables i have but the screen is just really pinkish and crap. Id rather not upgrade my DVD player...
Hi guys.. i just bought a 46" Westinghouse LCD TV and im trying to get a better picture from my dvd player. Im currently using the S-Video and its not very good. My DVD player is kind of old and definately a low end, but i think i could get a better picture if i used the YPbPr output. Problem...
it says in the specs - Compatible modes: TV480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, PCVGA, SVGA, XGA, WXGA
Either way, i picked it up today. Came to $2100 with tax and the extra 3 year warrenty. Not too shabby at all if you ask me. As far as the picture goes, i dont have a HD source yet so i cant say.
This model supports 1080. I looked at the 42" but wanted something a little bigger. I'll be picking this up today so i'll let everyone know what i think. :)

Been looking for a 50" plasma for my room for a while but this LCD is cheaper and better then anything else i've looked at in the $2000 range. Did a search for a review, but couldnt find anything. Hopefully my local samsclub has it in stock so i can pick it up tomarrow...
not an increase.. i only play cs source and it drops down to 15 fps all the time, whether or not its intense action. im playing at 1280 x 1024 i believe and even with all the settings turned down its still bad. my problem is im still running a socket 478 board and all i can find is a p4 3.0 on...
