Thanks for posting about this. I was about to buy one of these until I found this thread. I can't believe they are still selling these without even a note about this issue. I thought about getting a new model M instead but after getting out a tape measure it just isn't great for my setup.
Well, the first time I booted it up it stuttered a lot from the very first intro cutscene and eventually it hard locked my computer on the first big fight and I had to power it off. I rebooted and went back into it and it ran buttery smooth and I had no further issues. I think they just need to...
I guess it was smart to announce this... I just pre-ordered it on Steam when I was intending to buy it awhile after release since I'm trying to save some cash up at the moment. But I love the previous two titles, I own them on Steam, and I don't trust Epic Games.
I think you only have two realistic options:
1. Keep exchanging 2080 Ti cards until you get one that does not fail.
2. Pay the top dollar price for a 1080 Ti that you know is going to work.
I feel bad for you guys. I really dodged a bullet because I ordered my 1080 Ti FE at launch for MSRP...
The reviews I've seen say the packaged joystick is shit quality too. They basically said between the non-functional KB and the terrible quality joystick there is no reason to buy it unless you just want it as a collector's item to display on your shelf.
This sounds like an alternative to an apple tv, roku or chromecast that also plays some games. If the included controllers are decent quality it might snag some people. I'll stick with my retropie I think.
I want a PS4 Pro since I have a 4k TV, but I can't believe it doesn't have a 4k bluray player in it with how expensive it is. I could get an Xbox One S, but I already have a regular Xbox One and it sits gathering dust because all my favorite games are on PS4.
There are official Lineage OS builds for almost every Nexus device, so I would expect there to be ones for the Pixel phones in time as well. I had Lineage OS on my previous Honor 5X and I put it on my dad's original (2013!) Moto G... I like it a lot.
I've done a ton of these recalls already and so far while a lot of them the screws need 1/4 to 1/2 turn none have been completely out of place and no batteries have been damaged.
You can get a 4TB 850 Evo for about ~$1400 as well. I know because I've been contemplating it. I have just under 500GB left on my 2TB 850 Evo. I could add another 2TB but I've done the multiple drives thing for years and I'm over it.
Funny thing. PC sales stabilize or go down a percent or two and everyone runs articles about how the sky is falling and the PC is dead. Phone and tablet sales do the same thing and nobody says jack shit. We've obviously hit peak phone/tablet... so much for them replacing the PC and the PC dying.
I bought it in a sale. I liked it. The only thing that bugged me a bit about it is the timer to choose your dialog option is really short. It makes the conversations more realistic but at a cost of you not always picking what you really wanted to say. Alpha Protocol also had this issue.
It has never "just worked". Every Mac customer that ever came into my shop to fix their obviously-not-just-working Mac has used some variation of this phrase and I've always had a good laugh about it. More reliable than the average Windows box, sure. Just working? Nope.
Newegg still makes it insanely easier to build and compare specs and etc when I am researching a new computer build since the entire site is geared toward that purpose. I could use newegg and then buy everything somewhere else I guess, but I value that part of the site and use it all the time so...
I don't know if there is a market for this, but I will say it is off base to just say "oh just setup a retroarch". That works for tech people but not the average joe. I'm a linux n00b and I would say building a retropie definitely wasn't the hardest thing I've ever done but it was a major pain...
The easiest way would be to just make TOS/EULA not legally binding. You shouldn't be able to sign away your rights because you aren't a lawyer and can't read and understand 20 pages of lawyer speak for every software and service you use.
I'm 35 years old and gaming is my primary hobby. I put in an average of 16 hours a week playing. I've also been employed full time for 13 years now and part time for 8 years before that. If I lost my job tomorrow, I'd play just as much games, and put the rest of the effort into getting another...
I have Prey and I thought about this too. I would hope they would just pull it from the store to prevent further sales until it is removed and not yank it out of your library. I know you can do that because I have a lot of games in my library that you can no longer buy in the steam store.
I miss my fat PS3. I loved the backwards compatibility for PS2, the combined library of awesome games was HUGE. Sadly it kept dying and I got tired of resurrecting it with a heat gun.
Ah yes, when you've lost and you know you can't win the next justification is always "it doesn't matter who won because (insert market or technology here) is irrelevant now".
All bought up by the petroleum companies man! It's a conspiracy! Did you know they have a carburetor that gets over 100mpg? I heard it from this dude under an overpass in Atlanta that was setting fire to a target shopping cart!
If I remember correctly, Burnout 2 was my favorite of the series because to me it had the best racing combined with the crashing. Starting with Burnout 3 the crashing/battling came more the the forefront and the racing took more of a backseat.
Honestly, I don't know if they have a way to stop this from working unless they ban legitimate keys from machines that were sold with upgrade and dual licensing rights. I have a lot of small business customers that bought dual Win7/Win10 licensed machines that are upgrading to 10 on a...
