I just got hired into a place where I need a laptop. I need to find a good cheap laptop new or used for under 500$. Mostly for business, but wouldn't mind having it for fun occasionally, and something I could use when I travel.
Any suggestions?
I fixed it by downloading Rivatuner and having that force Vsync and Triple Buffering. CCC is a joke. The thing now is, with those forced im getting some slowdown.
I first noticed this when I booted up stalker. The videos of the logo's and shit that usually happen when you play again, well.. for some reason I watched them and noticed that the videos were tearing with horizontal lines. Especially True for the opening game video and then also true when ever...

Just got this too which is lower than a slightly OC'd 4870
only game i really have thats on the benchmarks.
I put in Crysis Clear sky today and was getting about 20 FPS when I was walking outside. With everything maxed. No AA/AF
According to benchies i see around the internet. a stock 4890 with Crysis on High Settings and no AA or AF at 1680x1050 should be getting around 48.2 FPS

With these settings I get no higher than 30 FPS, usually between 20-30. O.o
I reformated my hard drive today, seems my PC is going slower than it was. Still OC'ed. Click one something and its showing up later than it should... or was before the reformat.
Well, I just started learning about OC'ing. So I have only touched the VCore and Multiplier. Not sure what else I can do or how to do it. That is the lowest with just those that I can keep 3.7 stable.
So far I am using Rivatuner and Furmark. It's running right now and its been crashing at much lower than what I have been seeing people run this card at. Is it my card or am I doing something wrong?
