Yeah, who cares about a 300 billion illicit drug trade, 30 billion human trafficking or 9 billion annual revenue illicit wildlife trade. Someone is willing to pay and therefore it's ok, right?
If you let predators roam unchecked, it's just a matter of time before they turn their gaze to you.

I've been playing around a bit with mine. Screenshot is an hour of non-AVX prime95. It got pretty hot. Is an hour long enough to be reasonably certain it's stable?
I am thinking of setting 4 core ratio to 46 and 8 core to 44 for now...
Kraken x62 for cooling with 4 fans push/pull - it's pretty...
Wow, this is a bit like killing a fly with dynamite - the remedy being more harmfull then the problem.
Are lasers more dangerous then drones? - Yes. As a matter of fact after reading your post, it's safe to assert that a laser in your hands is more dangerous then a modern drone being conrolled...
So the attack vector on autopilot involves high powered lasers and/or jamming equipment.
An attack vector against an average driver is sending them a snapchat....
...how exactly is this an argument AGAINST autopilot?
The way he was describing his experience of the "real world" I am not surprised he needs an escape, and I guess writing biased and subjective articles is his escape. Somebody give this man a hug, some antidepressants and tell him that it's going to be OK.
Quoting some definition of the word "theft" does not disprove, or even adress my point. I said that downloading a pirated torrent is LIKE stealing. "Traditional" theft of a physical item has 2 compenents:
1. You take something that does not belong to you.
2. You make another suffer a loss...
You really don't get it. Imagine, you as a US citizen not being able to buy a taco anywhere in the world... Why? .- Because your local wallmart is going to start selling tacos next year and wants a monopoly. That's what geoblocking is about, creating monopolies, and monopolies are NEVER good for...
After re-reading my post, I've realized this is a dumb question so I have deleted it. Sorry for polluting the forum. Mods are welcome to delete the thread.
This is my GTX680. It is factory overclocked. I agree that this looks like a bad memory overclock.
Since it is factory overclocked I expect it to function as advertised, so I will be sending the card back. I just need to prepair in case they start arguing that the card isn't ment to run at 80C
There is nothing wrong with cooling on that card. If I run Heaven on it alone with fan limited to 20% it never goes above 60C. The problem is SLI. There is very little space between the cards, so it get hot air from the first card. The card hits 84C running Heaven in SLI.
Nvidia GTX680 thermal...
I got an ASUS GTX680 DC20. As soon as it hits 80 degrees it starts artifacting. What temperatures are these cards supposed to be able to handle? Judging by the Fan control curve its somewhere in the 90s
My other GTX680 doesn't suffer from such problems.
Cards are in SLI, the top card gets...
Switching PCI-e slots to gen2 stabilized the system. This is apparently a problem with the board.
Maximus VI Extreme can not properly run SLI in the recommended (native) slot configuration of slot 1 and slot 2B. As far as I can tell ASUS has known about this for a while and has ignored the...
Nope, 2 cards at the same time is a no go, though if i enable SLI everything goes to hell a lot faster then if i don't
----
Testing switching PCI-e lanes to Gen2. PC booted, stable so far, time will tell...
Yeah, card 1 works fine alone in slot1
card 2 works fine alone in slot 2
As soon as I boot with SLI enabled the system goes haywire
"not enough resources blah blah blah..." havn't seen this kind of message since windows 95
System crashed horribly when installing video drivers. The installation completes about 50% of attempts. Once one of the cards didnt start with a message about no available resources. Looking at one of the GTX 680s as a possible culprit now. SLI was working perfectly in the previous machine...
First thing I did was update the BIOS. OS is clean Windows 8.
I've tried a countless combination of settings.
OC Turbo (all cores) on and off
Turob on and off
CPU Core Voltage - Full manual / MB Auto / Intel Auto / Intel Adaptive
Load Line calibration / Spread spectrum / other digi+ settings...
I built a new system a few days ago:
Intel 4770K -new
Asus Maximus VI extreme -new
XFX 1250 Gold PSU -new
Corsair H110 -new
Corsair Vengeance memory from previous PC
couple of 680s in SLI from prev. PC
The system has never been stable. I've been messing around with settings for a few...
I have already successfully logged on via a US proxy, and gotten the US unlock times, however I am not sure I dare actually unlocking the game like that for fear of getting banned.
You sit in your office pretending to work while reading [H]forum, suddenly you see a blue dot creep along the wall. Do you:
a) Ignore it and go about your business
b) Look out the window to try to see who the bored tard is
c) Pull the fire alarm and run for cover
You sit in your office...
I overclocked my i7-920 a week ago. Was first time overclocking core i7 for me, though I have overclocked all the PCs I've built before P4, core2duo, etc..
I found this guide pretty helpfull to get started - http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/538439-guide-overclocking-core-i7-920-4-a.html...
I got the system running stable now with the specs in my sig. I had quite a few problems getting there though.
The biggest problem was vcore. As far as i can tell, my CPU needs a minimum 1.32V to be stable at 4.2GHz. Due to actual voltage being lower then what is set in BIOS and voltage drop...
I went back to trying to get the CPU to run at 4ghz, and I just noticed that some of my voltage settings are misbehaving. Badly.
Load line calibration is evil. Looks like when CPU is under high load, if LLC is enabled it will make voltage increase instead of decrease. Not a little either...
I've done all that apart form PCI-E freq. Booting with CPU speed over 4ghz caused a 0x124 BSoD within max 2 minutes. Bumping QPI up a couple notches fixed that. However both lynx and prime95 still errored out after just a couple tests, and there were occasional random application crashes, which...
Thats what I started with. 210 BCLK and 19 multi (vcore 1.32). Memory was at whatever the lowest settings is. I did it pretty much just to check if CPU could handle it before I start on RAM - it didnt. System ran for a while before throwing a BSOD or prime95 error.
After that I switched to...
I have tried running BCK 191 with multiplyer @ 21 and memory at the lowest speed. It wasnt stable at 1.32V, i think it might have been stable at 1.35V but temperatures were extreme (up to 91C) so i didnt test that long
I am using a zalman air cooler, and its probably worth mentioning i got...
As the topic says, I seem to be completely unable to get past 3850MHz mark
Have tried up to vcore 1.32V, system seems stable at 3840MHz, but as soon as i hit 3860MHz i start getting prime95 errors and BSoD
System seems stable so far with the following settings:
BCK = 213
CPU speed =...
I guess i am gonna go ahead and order Corsair Obsidian 800D
Not gonna replace the CPU cooler, cause I just bought this one.
After doing some testing with prime95 at stock speeds it looks like I am gonna have to resit the CPU fan though. One core was at 59C at full load, the others at 56C. I...
I am considering Corsair Obsidian 800D case, anybody got any experience with it?
Would I be able to turn the CPU cooler 90 degrees clockwise to have it blow from bottom to top (I am assuming there is an exhaust fan there), thus allowing me to install the corsair fans on the memory without...
Hi
I got my new PC components last night and of course ran into a bunch of clearance problems with fans.
Basically if I mount the fan that comes with the Corsair Dominator GT DDR3 1866MHz 6GB memory modules, it ends up about half an inch from Zalman CNPS10X Extreme CPU fan, obstructing...
Yeah, I was actually looking at 920 just now, and I have to agree that 600 clock increase is really not worth doubling the price. I am definitely gonna go for that one instead.
Btw, will my Zalman Core2Duo cooler fit on an i7 or do I need to get a new one?
and last but not least
I currently...
My PC died again. Getting random bluescreens at random times during win7 boot proccess. Sometimes it happens right after logo comes up (kernel load). Sometimes it happenes during GUI load stage, and sometimes a few seconds after login screen appears.
Its my 2nd Asus striker extreme (worst...
Update:
I figured I might as well test the board with another PSU, so I plugged in a 720W I had lying around. To my surprise the CPU Fan spun up and appeared to be working normally.
When I reconnected the 850W Ive been using, CPU fan ... still worked. Everything appears to be working atm...
So, i've had a hell of a day, spent 10 hours fiddling around my PC and now my head hurts far too much to search for answers, so I am just making a new thread.
My ASUS striker extreme suddenly decided to die on me. Upon starting it up nothing happens. Fans would spin up but the screen would...
Havn't got the exact info right now, cause I am at work, but I can post it later
Anyhow, after I overclocked my pc, sometimes I get a really weird error when I boot Vista
Basically sometimes when I start Vista, the very first GUI image it displays (the color desktop right before you can log...
