Thing is that I really need to make my move on it alredy. My current system is crapping out on me, its really sad!
Ive read a review of the Shuttle SN37P2 and that sounds promising, my only concer with it is that lack of the card reader. but i was wondering how long it would take for it to...
Im am looking to build myself a new system, my previous tower was a huge full size server tower (from Antec) and my reason for it was to host all my HDs in that tower. Now I run a file server and no longer need so much local storage so I am considering an SSF.
What I do is professional...
I dont mind the lagging part, the viewing office hada a good solid T line and most of the homes have DSL some even have FIOS, so it is doable.
As to the software you meantiod, can you elaborate?
The computers will be indoors we will run wires out on the side of the houses and mount the cameras outside.
Video should be stored for 30 days, and should be trigger captured.
But remember the main point of this is to be able to sit in one office and have a central viewing station, and...

I know that the linksys dose not support 2 connections.
The 1.5 connection is connected to a VPN router by 3Com [which is for the server and and one other computer on the network, and the 3 connection is for the rest of the computers and the phones.
Well if you want to you use the Microsoft RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) you need to get that laptop upgraded to a Pro, home dose not have the option. Now you can just do a repair to the installation useing a Windows CD.
If you want to keep it a home OS then you need to look for a 3rd party...
