I first tried out Antec products (a case and a power supply) a few years ago and I still have the system that I built then. I really like Antec's products.
Man I have been wanting an excuse to tell my wife that I need to buy another monitor or two and if I had a multi display video card that would be great! Granted it's a pretty lame excuse but it's an excuse none the less and it's nothing less than what she expects from me anyway! :D
I have yet to experience a solid state drive and just a few months ago I upgraded my whole system. That is my whole system except for my hard drive. I think a solid state drive would give me a bit of extra speed that would be great.
I'm usually an nVidia fan but over the last few months I've been really thinking about trying out the new Radeons. Unfortunately money is a problem at the moment so winning one of these could really be the thing that wins me over to the Radeons.
I like whole case actually but I've always had cases that didn't have a cpu cutout for help with cooling the cpu and the cable management. As a result I've always had a hard time making the cables in my cases look good.
It would be so cool to win one of these.
I really really really need a good set of speakers and a set of 2.1 speakers would be just great because I don't have a lot of room on my dekstop anyway for any 5.1 sets!:)
I know this may sound stupid but I am wondering something. I am currently a contract web developer for a company that basically allows a user to complete a course and then once that course is completed the user can view a certificate stating that they completed the course. The problem is that...
I'm not sure what the problem is that you are having but I just copied your code and supplied my own images and it appears to work fine in Firefox 3 for me. I didn't try it in IE7 though. When I mouseover the up, it scrolls up and if I move the mouse off the up it stops. Same for mousing over...
Don't you have to put quotes around dates? It's been a while since I used the now() function or for that matter actually had to insert a date into a mysql table but it seems to me that the last time I did I had to put quotes around the date I was trying to insert.
What exactly is wrong with your current system? Maybe they can be fixed. Are you just looking for something that can run certain programs on at certain times? If so have you tried using cron (providing you are on a linux type system that is)?
I'm a freelance php developer and might be able...
Thanks for all the replies guys. I've been checking them all out and I'm getting a good feel for how this stuff is done (which is always a good thing).
I'm sorry to say that I'm not fully up on the best security practices, using PHP, when it comes to sanitizing user input. I thought I'd ask the Hard members as I've always trusted their opinion in the past.
I do some freelance work for a guy in my spare time. I have recently been tasked to...
Have you tried Media Monkey? I'm not sure if it'll do exactly what you're looking for but it's free and works in Vista (I know because I have Vista and I run it just fine). I use it for playing internet radio stations.
I myself haven't seen anyone blocking JavaScript. In fact, I've seen JS use increase, especially with the upswing in AJAX and web 2.0 stuff. The company I work for uses JS quite frequently and as far as I know they don't plan on switching to something else because "JavaScript isn't really...
I'll have to remember that ipchicken site. Didn't know about them. Anyway, even by finding out that information, how do they know that I'm in the southwest Iowa area or in the Omaha, Nebraska area? I've had sites that I've gone to where I didn't have to log in to anything and they new what...
I've had an idea for a website for a while now and really, the only thing holding me back from developing it is that I have no idea how to do a couple of things.
You've seen those sites where you go to them and even though you've never been there before they somehow know your general...
Yeah, thanks pxc for the info. Another guy here at work that had done something similar in the past pointed me to http://tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE which seems to work ok.
As for processes to catch that kind of thing here where I work well, the processes are there but it seems that they just...
I just got bit big time in my new job. The pc they gave me to work on had IE 7 installed on it so I didn't think anything of it (especially since I use firefox anyway). I made a change to a web page that involved hiding/displaying a select drop-down box based on wether a radio button was...
Thanks for all the replies. I don't know which version of the Xbox he has since I haven't really looked at it yet but I plan to now. I think he might be a bit happier playing on his Dell monitor than on the crappy little tv he's currently playing on.
I think I might just have to do a little...
Yeah, I'm a newbie to this kind of thing. My oldest son bought himself an Xbox 360 and he's been playing it on this 25 inch tv (not HD) and it does ok but I think it would look a lot better if he played it on his Dell 2007WFP LCD monitor on his pc. I haven't told him to try and hook it up yet...
Yeah, she got the virus and did the restore before talking to anyone else about what her options were. I was afraid that she had probably lost everything but I said I'd check and see what I could do.
I have a friend that supposedly got a virus on her pc and so she did a system restore (with the cd that came with the system). Well, because of this, her Outlook Express no longer shows all of the emails she had.
Is there a way to get those emails back? Or is she just screwed?
With the game itself I have no problems. It runs just fine. The only problem I have is when trying to find a server to join. I can find a server where there's 24 people on a 32 person server and if I try to join it I get the message that that server is full. If I then refresh the list that...
I've been running Vista Ultimate on the system in my sig since January and other than a few minor things with the mobo's bios I've had no problems. Once I updated the mobo's bios every problem I had cleared right up.
Also, I don't understand what the problem is with the security popups in...
My 13 year old step-son downloaded a toolbar (I don't know which one) for firefox on his pc a while back and he said it completely messed it up. How exactly it messed up firefox I'm not sure and he couldn't really tell me. Actually from his story I'm doubting it was the toolbar but anyway. So...
I was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with the demo completely hanging their system?
When I first installed the demo I first made sure all my drivers were up to date. For some reason though, the demo completely hung my system within the first 5 minutes while I was just going...
I thought that with him being right out of high school, if he did get the A+ certification, that it would be a pretty good thing. I was curious as to what other people, especially ones that have that cert, thought of it.
Now I just have to find a way to impress upon him the importance of it...
I know that that A+ cert isn't all that useful for most people these days but I have question for you guys that have it (I don't). My son is a senior in high school and this year he has been allowed to take a couple of extra courses that will actually give him college credits if he passes them...
My main question would be, do you have to have the Ageia hardware to run the game? I like a decent FPS as well as the next person and since it's free I'd be more than willing to check out the game but I don't have the Ageia hardware and there's no way I'm buying it just to play a free game.
