AMD Claims Zen 2 Has 29% Higher IPC than Zen 1 in Certain Workloads

I've been telling people that the time for a major upgrade will be in 2019 when Ryzen 2 is out. People thought that I was just being some kind of fanboy. Basically in 2019 you will be able to buy a high end version of a Sony PS5 that is all AMD.

AMD Addresses 9900k Controversy and Outlines Benchmarking Practices

I am so ready for a 10 core 5ghz 7nm Ryzen 2 with next gen 7nm Navi in 2019. Until Intel starts taking things seriously again I am not interested.

EPYC vs. Xeon: AMD, Intel Could Be Doubling Core Counts in 2019

I can tell you right now from working with HP's Gen10 Epyc based systems that they are much better overall systems than the Intel based systems. LGA 3647 IMO is a bad product.

Increased Surveillance Perpetuates a Dystopian View of Life in China

The people will hate the surveillance grid period. It will set their people back decades. The unfortunate thing is that politicians here in the US want to do the same thing. It is like they haven't learned from reality that as you tighten the noose on people the more they lash out. Only...

Hacker Finds Hidden “God Mode” on Old x86 CPUs

You would be a fool to think these don't exist on every major manufacturer's devices/appliances. The ones that don't have these backdoors are devices owned by the 3 letter agencies and their corporate backers that have had their firmware and their OS's patched to remove the vulnerabilities...

Kim Dotcom to Vacation in the US Maybe

The Dotcom thing has been going on for longer than that. The only reason it has ratcheted up is because of statements by Dotcom. Dotcom and Assange both say they can prove Seth Rich leaked to Wikileaks and that Russia had nothing to do with it. Not a conspiracy theory at all if you have been...

Kim Dotcom to Vacation in the US Maybe

They are going after Dotcom for the same reason they are going after Assange. They both can prove the Russians didn't hack the DNC and Podesta emails and that the parties pushing the Russia narrative were so worried about the public knowing about the content of those emails they were willing to...

"No-Log" VPN Turns Over Logs on Kiddie pr0nist

Ironically thousands of Pentagon and State Department officials have been caught over the years with kiddie porn and it has all been swept under the rug. Hell the NSA has all sorts of kiddie porn blackmail on politicians all over the world. Judging from the Podesta emails that were released by...

Alexa Recorded a Woman’s Private Conversation and Sent it to a Random Contact

No one uses tinfoil anymore. We use aluminum foil just like everyone else these days. :D Ironically almost every major conspiracy theory of the past 50 years has been proven true in the past 15 years and is now publicly accepted. The surveillance state is irrefutable.

Alexa Recorded a Woman’s Private Conversation and Sent it to a Random Contact

It is a ridiculous notion to imagine any of these devices aren't spying on every single one of its users. These companies doing this are so tied into the government that they might as well be big brother themselves.

Feast your eyes upon a 4P-8160 and what it does to Cinebench R15.

I do contract work for the US Patent Office and the Dept of Energy. They have lots of top end domes and power series systems. I usually only work on the power series stuff and z mainframes.

Feast your eyes upon a 4P-8160 and what it does to Cinebench R15.

Yeah. I guess I should have. I am to the point these days where I am over the hardware aspect of it all for the most part. That said my favorite train set is made up of over 880,000 physical hosts. I have no idea how many cores that is, but lets just say it does hyperscale machine learning...

Not a Republican or a Trump supporter. Why would you stop focusing on anyone anytime that is a pedo/rapist/abuser? Also this is completely relevant. You just showed your partisanship to all of us and you don't even realize it. You made it political. The fact that you think I am uninformed...

Intel Didn't Tell Government About Meltdown/Spectre Because They Couldn't Help With Fix

Well...that is a half truth. The government as a whole didn't know about Meltdown and Spectre. The NSA did...and they were the ones who asked for the backdoor to be put in place. It was not meant to be a backdoor to spy on Joe regular guy. It was a backdoor meant for select government...
