Oblivion was my reason. With Gears of War, Halo 3, Forza 2 coming, and the ability to chat anytime with my buddy in Florida on Live while playing a single-player game sealed the deal (he has a 360 also). Mr. Dearthian

With the 360 built-in fuctionality with Windows XP (streaming music and pictures) and further functionality with XP Media Center (streaming media more than audio), supporting XP on a PS3 would be shooting themselves in the foot IMHO. And with Vista coming early next year... Mr.Dearthian
