here is a rough idea of what we do/use at work.
We use Storecraft ShadowProtect. Does a base image while booted into window and creates a password encrypted image. It can then convert into a VirtualBox boot environment for a head start restore or need to spin up a downed server in a hurry...
why not just grab a junction box, and dimmer switch, and wire it up to the back of the case? $10 in parts from lowes. 5 minutes of time. easily adjustable, no fancy wiring. I'm not seeing why this is complicated.
did you keep the box? all the numbers are on the sticker on the box. then you could use cdma workshop to push the numbers back to the phone... maybe. dont take my word for it.

here is the stock 2.3.3 with root access. this assumes you are already rooted with another rom. make sure you flash the kernel with the wifi-n fix. didnt even notic eI was running at G speeds.
I've been on 2.3.3 for a little bit now. with Sense 2.1 + 3.0. the one coming OTA is Sense 1.0
if you want to root your phone and install the latest goodies check out Miks GingerSense rom.

you should be fine to go with the image file. the intel drives ship with a version of arconis for migrating from one drive to another. you can download it from intels website. I was able to use it regardless if the intel drive was plugged in or not.
its free until everyone starts being douche bags and sprint reconsiders the unlimited data part. that being said, I have pulled close to 6-7gb per month.
if they can fix the issues by the end of november when my upgrade comes around then I'm going with the epic. if they cant then it will be the evo. or I'll just hold off and see what else sprint has coming down the pipe
two hitachi 1tb
1 seagate 1,5tb
1 seagate 750gb
1 seagate 500gb
its all running on a asus server board that was a $20 open box deal on newegg. I just tossed in a old Pentium D I had laying around and 2gb of ram. I think it has more to do with the cpu than anything else in my case. I can also...
I only run into this issue at about 1am when I have have backs set to begin. it freezes for about a minute and then is fine again. doesnt really bother me. lets me know that I should have been asleep two hours ago.
wellthe hero isnt to bad once you toss a new rom it. at the time when I had a choice between the htc hero and the samsung moment... it really wasnt a hard decision. The hero just has a bigger backing.
I'm looking at my upgrade in november to be the evo. unless sammy gets their act together and...
NFX-Hero 2.2.1 with ZenKernel 8122010.
loads at 710mhz by default. 245 with the screen off.
a full senseui rom for the htc hero. I had been using the CM6 for hero. but I've been getting a lot of lag that I can not track down. even on a fresh wipe and load. guessing my phone just doesnt...
I work at it  that is actually in what I call a clean state. normally it is covered with stuff for work, sketches, various computer parts, sometimes a cat on the desk, dog below.
takes waaaaaay to much work to make it photo shoot worthy.
ahhh facebook, without it I would be paying my ex each month. Note to would be cheaters. Dont post about it on facebook, and include pictures. that is just retarded
a lot of this stuff is already making its way into the 2.1 roms floating around xda. loaded up a version for the hero and holy hell is it fast. can over clock the cpu in the hero from 528 up to 700+
one minor issue I have found is that if you reboot the phone then it seems to forget your google password. not a huge deal to me. the camera is what I have been waiting on
actually just because you dont have sprint coverage doesnt mean you cant use sprint. their roaming policy is if you roam less than 60% of the time there is no charge. I rarely lose coverage. and when I do, I know that att, verizon, tmobile all drop in that area.
Shared Plan
Everything...
qft, I have two lines on my contract. the 1400 everything plan, I get 18% off for being a officemax employee. Their unlimited to/from any cell phone knocked my usage down to next to nothing on my minutes. the rest my mom use calling me to talk. it is unbelievable how decently priced they have...
Fresh 1.1 rom with with the gumbo kernel just screams. toss in setcpu set to ondemand and it is a whole new phone. sense is loading before the boot animation finishes.
its pretty amazing really
Sprint now has free mobile to mobile. That is any network any time. And nights weekends starts at 7pm. So now the 500 minute plan should be more than enough for most people.
I'm on the hero. With the everythingbplan you can be off network for 60% of the time and will not be charged roaming...
this is really the only reason I have switched to mediaportal. dont get me wrong I love mediacenter. but mediaportal behaves a bit more fluid to me. that and subtitles work correctly
just got a drive from newegg from the tn warehouse. came wrapped in bubble wrap and in the white box. white box was taped shut and then had brown shipping paper packed around it. not movement and drive is working perfectly
