Voted yes - mostly to save you the out-of-pocket, all predicated on your ability to maintain impartiality. I will say, reading the NDA had my Spider-sense tingling a bit on that front, especially as Section 2 (shall not disclose confidential information without prior written approval) relates...
If you want to reserve some space, something like this 4 2.5" to 1 5.25" could be useful - http://www.amazon.com/B-Q2T5-5-25-Drive-Adapter-Bracket/dp/B008L5Y4OO/ref=pd_sim_sbs_pc_5
Mostly I need to upgrade from my like 5 year old hardware. Beyond that, I want a powerful solution with a legit cooling system so I don't have to go deaf cranking speakers or headphones to drown out some banshee fan attached to a lesser cooler.
Pondered doing something very similar with the Lagan countertop. Where did you find it though? Everywhere I've looked online shows sold out in store, and paying what they want to ship a block of that is insane (wish they did ship-to-store).
Been in this game for more than a few years now, and what I like about Antec is that their products always deliver quality at a reasonable price. I've used their cases, PSUs, fans, and some other bits, and everything worked out of the box until I retired it for newer gear. Always worked...
No need to splice, just get an adapter. http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10429&cs_id=1042901&p_id=7230&seq=1&format=2
Rat Shack has them too, for a bit more money.
I had originally planned on doing something similar, but using the Lagan countertop instead of Numerar, however, before I had the space in my house (currently in the middle of living in it while gutting it), it looks like they discontinued it. I might end up at Numerar yet.
My favorite part is the cutouts on the motherboard tray for cable routing - so simple to do, at least I'd think, but far too many cases still don't implement things like this for effective and simple cable management.
Rocking some generic over-the-ear cans that are at least a decade old and only cost like 10 dollars then - they generally suck and are literally held together on the one side with some JB Weld and electrical tape, but they are working for now...at least as well as they ever did, which is to say...
I want to build a new computer, but the wife is assuring me that we can't do it on the budget we have - this would go a really long way to making that work...if not ensure it.
Scott.
True story: I was expected to be a girl at birth. When I popped out a boy, they didn't have a name ready. Picked a first name, couldn't come up with a middle name. My dad went to the bathroom (where apparently all great thinking is done), looked at the TP dispenser - BAM - middle name.
I look for high efficiency, stable voltages, and high quality components/construction, because I don't want the thing to crap out on me (and take my other hardware with it) in a year or two.
Worst reason ever, but sadly true. I got married Memorial Day weekend, moved into a house that we've had to do a complete gut and restore on (we're living in the mess). My computer is set up on a small corner table, and basically, I just want to be able to play games occasionally while being...
Thus far, I really don't mind Chrome - only thing is, Adblock Plus on Firefox really has spoiled me, I can't believe all the flash ads I'm seeing on some pages that I've never seen before.
Actually, this was easier than figuring out how to lock the thread and start a new one. New situation, and since these replies were to the months old (non-edited) original, I was putting a bump out there to see if anyone had new offers. The original post was edited last night with the new...
1. Given Eclipse and your overclocks (4 and 3.5ghz respectively) - I'd use it as the basis for a new rig - pick up one of those Cosmos cases, a TEC with water cooling loop, and aim for the sky. Once stable - Fold for Team 33 and occasionally play a game or two (would hate to kill the science...
As it goes, coming from a user, let me detail a few things. First, the material debate - I prefer the mesh, not just because it looks cool, but because I'm always very warm, and the mesh gives you quite a bit more breathing than a standard chair. As for those wondering if this chair is worth...
