    Goodbye i7 2700k, hello Ryzen2600

So, after 7-8 years, im finally ditching LGA1155, following picking up a few decent deals on Black Friday and a bit of cash burning a hole in my pocket (also my 8 year old mobo is starting to be a bit funny with my ssd's, and cold booting once in a while). Had a i5 2500k all the way through from...

    2600K can't move past 4.5G, high temps?

I had a 2500k on a TRUE 120 - and I could never get that beyond 4.5 @ 1.4v ish - that said my temps topped out at like 75 degrees. Now running 2700k @ 4.7 / 1.38V for 24/7 usage, but that is on a Arctic Freezer 240 AIO, never really breaks 65 degrees now.

UK Detecting Drivers' Cell Phone Usage

Disagree - i commute by motorbike in the UK in to London, and passing between cars daily i see easily 5+ people every 1 hour journey on the phone.... half of those people are drifting between lanes, not moving properly with traffic or just plain being stupid. Sure there will always be idiots...

    Steam Link $2.50

If you have a firetv for example - and have access to the Android Market on it (not hard to achieve) - then you can just use the native android app that is realeased to give you steam link functionality (just take a look on android market to get an idea). Also works on some android powered tvs...

Time to do some OC'n (2600K).

Your very similar to me - i switched from a 2500k @ 4.5 to a 2700k to stave off having to upgrade the whole system, can get that in to windows at 4.8 but not prime stable now so just sitting pretty at 4.7 Runs everything fine at 1440p for me, also have the 240 Arctic freeze, no issues with...

    Steam Link $2.50

To give a little perspective on this - i bought one over christmas when it was on a similar offer in the UK - got the controller and steam link for £27 Just my $0.02 - steam link works great, seamless and easy to set up, and truth be told when i run over Ethernet to pc and steamlink - the input...

1TB for 29 Cents a GB and Free Far Cry 5

FYI - in the UK, it seems the 500gb version of the 860 evo is included - and can be had for £125 off amazon (linked direct off samsungs offer page)... http://www.samsung.com/uk/farcry5/ Would have pulled the trigger on it, if it wasnt for the fact that on Amazon sale days the 500gb 860evo...

Cooler Master ML240L RGB AIO CPU Cooler Review @ [H]

Currently £60 in the UK, which is an utter steal - I paid £70 for my Arctic Freezer 240 18 months ago which was a bargain at the time and this looks to be even better value.

AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition Introduction @ [H]

"Install the driver now (rather when AMD gets it posted on its driver page)" Question is - where do you get these from currently, are they out now if so is there a direct link? Looking forward to giving them a go, cant make PUBG any worse.. :) :edit: Looks like if you google for amd...

So what is the cheapest upgrade over my 2500K atm?

I was recently in the same boat - had a 2500k @ 4.4 and was starting to feel the pinch, so i bought both a 2600k and a bundle with 2700k - and tested which cpu worked out best (the 2600k was a dud, sold for same as i paid). the 2700k boots at 5ghz, and i have it stable at 4.7 now for daily...

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to Run at 60 FPS on Xbox One X

Im pretty much same as you, my PC is no real slouch, and I use same settings (except AA on lowest, view distance on high), and also reshade - and get pretty much the same FPS @1440....... at the starting island dips down to like 45 fps, and up to like 110 depending where I am - just bought a...

    R290 Crashing issues

Somewhat agree but this corsair PSU should cover that 290's requirements, its not pushing the envelope IMO. Issue appeared to lie with the cooling on the card, as I say since getting the accelero up and running properly, everything appears to have settled down without issue.

GPU-Z indeed. since installing the accelero, things seem all good now, bear in mind this is with the 3x 90mm running over it.

    R290 Crashing issues

I took off the reference cooler 2 days ago and put on the accelero xtreme 3 - temps are v good (60 tops for core, 52 for vrm1 and 2). As for swapping around, no just the single swap, the artifacts and crashing were with the reference cooler on, so far so good since putting the accerlero on.

    R290 Crashing issues

Before the accelero, it was a reference 4g gigabyte r290, bought fairly early on for bc mining but rarely used, then it wouldn't fit in my old gaming case until I replaced the case (would have had no chance with the accelero on it, it's huge). Crashing wise, initally it was screen artefacts...

    R290 Crashing issues

Currrently have 2x pci-e power connectors connected vertically (same as in the pic). I changed the target temp right down, and upped the max fan speed and it seemed to settle things down (and oddly no crashes on desktop). Since yesterday, have now fitted an Accelero extreme III, along with...

    R290 Crashing issues

Hi, thanks for the replies. Psu wise I'm using a corsair hx750, with a fairly light install (see sig). Dedicated gpu power leads as the psu is modular and only has one connector per cable (I can try plugging one of the power leads in to a different connector to see if it moves rails). Temp...

Hi All At the centre of my network I have a HP 2900-24g (24gig ports + 2x stacking 10gbe ports) switch. A few weeks ago this switch failed and had to be replaced under support (and is now back in place again working fine). Eventually, I have managed to fix the previously failed switch and...

what level of AD are you using / version of exchange? in exchange 2003 - easiest way would have been to use public folders (we still use them here to a certain extent as i transitioned on to exchange 2007 and they moved as part of the transition, now retired the old exchange). I think in...

Hi For Sale is my barely used Xbox 360 Pro - 20GB HDMI console. I purchased this for GTA4 alone, then within a few months ended up landing myself a 3.55 PS3 so this got left on the shelf, (that and the fact my other half doesnt really let me spend the time on games..) This sale contains: -...
