So I dropped my ram from 999MHz to 895MHz, 10 minutes of gameplay no problems.
I reset it back to 999MHz and it happened again, I also dropped my GPU down by 10% nothing changed on that end, still freezes on me.
So what does that mean for me then? Do I need to run my ran clocked down ~10% all...
Hi all, Im having an issue with my system crashing/freezing/BSOD while playing any game. I was wondering what everyone may think is the problem.
Im assuming its either my GPU or my PSU (system specs posted in my sig).
First off let me give you a quick run down of whats going on.
Ive...
Ahh, figured it out.
Its kind of a partial embedding.
You just need to quote the appropiate text, since text inside quotes dont count towards the max character limit.
as I said before if there is a character limit on a forum (which this one has 20,000 character limit) and your text in between the ...code... exceeds that limit you cannot post without taking out characters.
What you are showing me is a way to embed text in a thread, not a text file. Im...
Im wondering whats the code to embed a text file in a thread like this, where the max character limit is exceeded and the file size is above the limit for attaching txt files. I dont want to make several posts to fit my text in a thread.
I know theres a way to do it, Ive seen it done before...
ok thank you I get what you are saying, and now it makes better sense to me. So my question now would be which connection would be better to use? The Marvel connection or the Vintesse connection?

should I remove a pair of my sticks leaving 2 slots free??? or could it be a problem with my psu not supplying enough power to the card??? its a 480W thermaltake silent purepower PSU and the +12V rail supplies 18 amps <--- is this not enough??? could there be a way to test to see if it is...
no the system doesnt crash at all after start up its, only when I try to run games... I actually had my system on over night last night and I woke up today its still on.
any other ideas??? would you think that I am not getting enough power to my card??? if so how could I test to see if it is my psu? I am pretty sure there is nothing wrong with my psu, it has been very reliable for me, and atm is the best psu I currently own
ok, will run the ati uninstaller, and then install latest drivers again... you can mark one off the list though, I know its not overheating since the card is running at about 39-40 degrees celcius, which is fairly normal

I just purchased a new 64 bit AMD 3700+ processor, and corresponding hardware(mobo, etc.) I was wondering on which OS I should use... Should I go ahead and buy windows Xp x64 edition? or stick with my current XP pro? Or should I have them both installed, and if so which should I install first?
well as of now, Im not gonna get into SLI, Im gonna wait a little longer till I upgrade to that, I dont think that right now its worth paying extra for SLI when you can get the almost same performance with a singe VGA card
in your opionion what would be the best mobo for a 64 bit compatible processor. Lets use an Athalon 64 3500+ with a 1GHz FSB (socket 939). So thats the processor what mobo would you want to use for it.
Criterias for the mobo:
Reliable, User friendly
ATX Form (no mini ATX)
1 AGP 8X/4X...
