Actually, it does as of yesterday. You need to update to tvOS 9.1.
I have a 4th-gen Apple TV in the living room and a Roku 2 in the bedroom. I originally bought the Roku for two reasons: the Plex client and Amazon. Despite owning a number of Apple devices, I like my media to be platform...
Agreed, but it's also unfair to judge an entire industry using examples from 10 years ago without acknowledging that some progress has been made. 2014 Lara is a far cry from 2003 Lara, even if she does still conform to a certain standard of beauty.
Great review, but I have to disagree with this statement. It's fine to say "4K gaming at 60fps requires SLI setup X," but 'enjoyment' and 'playability' are much more subjective. I am greatly enjoying The Witcher 3 in 4K at high settings on a single 970. I haven't checked the fps, but by my...
My gf's employer provides every employee with a sit/stand desk, and my own is following suit when we move to a new office next month.
My anecdotal evidence is better than yours!
It's perfectly ok. I think the argument is for more variety, which is what we do have in other media. Take a look at Hollywood: plenty of movies with sexy women, but just as many with strong female characters that aren't overtly sexualized. People have a lot of choice when they want to see a...
I was using sarcasm to suggest that if any of his coworkers were uncomfortable with his shirt, we wouldn't know about it.
I get it, I'm a software engineer myself. My work clothes are my everyday clothes. I'm still willing to bet that if your boss came to you and said "hey, we're bringing a...
Because the logical outlet for an HR complaint is Twitter? I did not say that the shirt shouldn't be seen in public, only that it does not belong in a professional environment.
You might recommend Bayonetta 2 to a coworker you know well, but would you wear a Bayonetta shirt to work? Would...
The type of games you enjoy playing in the privacy of your own home has little in common with how you represent yourself and your colleagues in a professional environment. If he wants to wear that shirt out on the street, more power to him, but it's inappropriate for the workplace, and...
Like it or not, the fringe elements have defined this discussion--some of which were, in fact, organized--and they are the sole reason this controversy still persists in the media. Lets face it; the idea that journalism could use a healthy dose of ethics is not all that controversial, in gaming...
Thanks for the suggestions, all. I decided to give the HDMI out on my 460GTX a try, but it seems that is also not without issues. The first problem I ran into is that it is apparently not possible to send only audio over HDMI; the video card insists on treating the receiver as a monitor. As I...
I'm currently using a X-Fi Titanium HD with DTS-encoded output to my receiver on a Win7x64 system, and I'm just about fed up with Creative's shitty drivers. Putting the system to sleep never works properly; either the system doesn't go to sleep or the card won't play any sound until I switch...
Made my first real attempt at astrophotography this past weekend; I did try the whole stacking thing but determined that it didn't really matter all that much when I'm resizing for the web.
30 seconds @ f/2.8, ISO 3200
I disagree. While it's true that cheap filters can exhibit flaring and other issues, that just doesn't happen very often in real-world usage. The most noticeable difference I've found is that the cheap ones tend to be a PITA to clean. If we were talking UV filters I would agree with you: buy...
Thanks! Ben got the settings right, though I'll add that I was using the 24-105 f/4L with a circular polarizer (hence the color) and a 2-stop ND filter.
The biggest reason to not shoot in sRAW is the fact that Photoshop and Lightroom cannot properly convert the format. You end up with some rather bizarre artifacts that look almost like interlacing.
Nice shots, BB; especially the heron. The 100-400 is a fantastic lens, though a bit large and heavy for my purposes.
I just got back from Edinburgh yesterday; definitely a city that favors black and white. Here's a few highlights:
Thanks! I just happened to be by at the right time. It was an outing with a local photo meetup group and the first time I had ever been to this cemetery. Needless to say, I'll be going back.
I've also found that cheap filters tend to be harder to clean. However, I always keep a UV filter on my lenses (unless I'm using a CP instead). Most of them are Hoyas that probably cost me $50 a pop.
While everything Silver said is true, a good UV filter will only exhibit those problems...
The Photographer's Ephemeris will do that and much more.
Nice shot, by the way. I made my first real attempt at astrophotography last weekend, but I also had the advantage of a friend's telescope with a camera adapter. Here's the result:

It's hard to take photos of trees that I'm happy with, especially when Flickr over-sharpens them.
