unfortunately some users will create completely open shares for members of their business unit. we try and lock this down, but politics dont allow us to create a permanent lockdown on that via policy. Ideally, we fear someone just plugging in a macbook to an ethernet jack and just start scanning...
Hey Guys, looking to pick some brains. My employer is looking to scan our enterprise network for rogue Macbooks that are plugging into our network. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I should be scanning for specific MAC address entries, or some other detail. Any ideas?
Been thinking of using...
I recently dropped my Sony Cybershot and now the lens will no longer retract. Not a big deal, as I figure I have a 1 year warranty that came with it.
Now a friend of mine claims Sony cameras have a mechanism that will detect if the camera has been dropped. I call BS, but am I wrong?
Anyone have any suggestions?
I want to take advantage of the untapped capabilities of my Linksys wrt54g, but can't get a decent opinion of either DD-WRT or HyperWRT. (much less any of the other 3rd party firmware avaliable...)
Any Google search or forum search tells me what people use or...
Hey everybody,
Here's the deal. I have a static IP. I have a registered domain name. I currently have my domain name parked with my registar's name server.

Technically GMail is still in beta, but folks are coveting invites because they want to get a lock on their unique e-mail address and take advantage of the 1gb of space. There is already hacks that are taking advantage of this system. (i.e. Linux filesystem that uses the gmail as a drive...

I concur with the SBC Internet. Have a business connection with them (not T1, but fast nonetheless), been rock solid.
Good luck. So Cal needs more LANs.......not enough gaming down here.....
I'm planning on going, but I'd like to assemble a team for the Call of Duty tournament. Anyone interested? E-mail me!

I'm running mine on a PII 350mhz with 256 MB of RAM.
It's a little slow serving pages regardless of where I am surfing from. (My DSL is at 604 upload)
It's also slow initially to give me the web-based admin screen at home, but once it is loaded there is little lag.
Love the CC. Easy to use.
First time I went I got a not-for-resale copy of Windows SBS 2003. Since worked leaked out about this they are no longer giving it away. SUCKS!
