Pardon my noobishness but I'm sort of out of the loop on AMD hardware stuff. The Venice is the normal X2 chip right? For the price difference isn't the opty the best? I don't really know though I just remember how awesome the 146 was supposed to be and how well it clocked ect.
I'm actually in the same situation but I have a 6800u agp and 2 gbs of PC3200 ddr. The only decent agp 939 board that I could find is a A8V Deluxe. I would rather go for the nforce but I don't want to spend the money on a PCI-E video card yet.
What I can't figure out is if a FX Opty dual core...
The amount of crap installed on these systems is almost unbelievable, not to mention registry tweaks and the like.
As the previous poster suggested a fresh installation of windows is really your best bet. To make your life easier you might want to make sure you have a source for drivers prior...
Well I didn't, the lady did.
It's just a straight up plug with an odd pin pattern sort of like some laptop brick cables that go from the wall to the brick.
My question is can I take a normal cable and modify it with proper insulation and connectors to power this beast? I'm thinking of...
I hope that this isn't breaking the bumping rule but I'm adding some photos. These cards have what I thought was just a standard s-video connector that was blanked out between the DVI and VGA connectors. I got a PM from someone asking me what the connectors were so I removed the back plate of...
Sorry about the semi delayed responses I have a lot on my plate today! =)
These are built by ATI cards, the part number is 109-a31900-00
As far as shipping to Canada goes, I would have to figure out what the cost would be, if it's more than 10 dollars we might have to split it or something...
Well.. If they were *MY* cards I would be =) But I'm just trying to get rid of these for my boss, we've had them for a while and they aren't moving. So I figured that I would try and push them out.
Back story real fast, I work at a local computer parts wholesale company. Sometimes we pickup lots of parts at a good price. Sometimes it's a good deal for us and we move all the product, and in some cases we sell... well not very many of them.
We bought about 20 of these cards about 6 months...
Does anyone have much experience with these yet? I haven't really read much about them, or seen WD 2.5 drives in a long time. We've been using Toshiba pretty much exclusively now for a few years and not really had any problems. Recently we just started carrying them at work.
Really it seems...
The best way that I have found is to look for a goal you want to accomplish. Say creating a domain with roaming profiles, or setting up iis and DNS. After you figure out the goal you want just start doing research. It could either be basic google searches or going out to purchase some books...
You can also use a MS RIS server with server 2k3 or even 2k and EMboot to create a bootable ghost floppy image that will work with the RIS server. Thats what I use at work and have for about 2 years now, works like a charm every day!
Just as a guess I could disable the NV driver service and rid my self of this message. But it pops up informing me that any new systems I build with an SLI capable motherboard has Multi-GPU Rendering Disabled. Yes, why in fact it is, because I have 1 video card installed. Maybe I'm just nub but...
Thanks guys!
I was actually looking at that NB47J thinking it would fit, and I already have that zalman fan setup going.
The only thing I'm worried about with that Zalman cooler is the mosfets not really having any cooling. I wonder if sacraficing the cooling on the mosfets is going to...
No, that actually won't work.
The problem is the heat pipe gets heat soaked almost instantly. I've had an 80mm blowing right on it and it did nothing.
It's a hollow piece of aluminum with gas and liquid in it sitting on the chip, air flow is certainly not the problem. Not to mention I'm...
As quite a few people now know the heat pipe won't work with a reverse ATX case, such as the Silverstone TJ-06 or various Lian Li cases. Unfortunatly I didn't know this was the case before purchasing this case with this board. I also have two 7800GTX cards so that kinda adds to the problem...
I think what we all need to know is how far the houses are from you. Also like everyone else said a T1 isn't that fat, no matter what the guy trying to sell you a contract says. Sure it would be fine for all of you guys to surf pr0n an check your email, but servers, people gaming, and the...
Christ I"m gonna leave the stupid lanparty alone, but it was either a 3200 or a 3400.
I mainly wanted to post it to see if it was actually worthy or not.
Er ya lol this was the A8V, the system the Lanparty UT was in has a 3500+ that won't get stable much above 250.
That was the first 939 system I've had my hands in and it was great. Very fast even at stock speeds.
Anyhow it's not BS just me being stupid. Belive it or not I thought it was a...
Lanparty UT board, 4000+ Corsair XMS. Running a 1:1 ratio on the memory.
This was also on a stock cooler. It would post and get into windows at 280x10 (not with a 1:1 ratio) but the heat sync would get totaly heat soaked.
Is this a good OC? =)
As said, bought it a few weeks ago, but now I need to pay some bills...very badly. 60 bucks shipped sound good?
heat and ebay as bobcrotch, email me eblack @ rvalleycomputers . com
I'm not really positive what type of modeling he's doing, probably 3D though because it's a civil engineering firm.
See the thing is that I've built 3 other systems for him 875 boards with 3.0c and a gig of ram, plus a nice fireGL card. But the other guy who works at the shop convinced him...
I'm building a system for a customer right now for AutoCAD, or CAD type programs. Is there any sort of util for benching it? He wants to go with a 6800GT and I don't think it's going to really do it. I told him that he needs to step up to a real cad card.
But I don't know a whole lot about...
*shrugs*
I'm with viper on this one, I've had over 20 WDs fail on me personaly since the 2gbish drives. Thats just in personal machines, I couldn't count how many I've replaced in customer machines.
But nothing beats the death stars,,,
