I have been using Scythe D1225C12B3AP-13 fans (1150 rpm) and have enjoyed the mellow tone and silent operation. I recently attempted to purchase more of the AP 13 fans to find they are listed as discontinued at the locations I checked...

I have SpeedStep and TurboMode enabled and C-State disabled in BIOS. CPU speed is 4.2 GHz no matter of what utilization. That is, CPU idles at 4.2. I have lived with this for a number of years, because I have not figured this out.
How can I get a 2.6 GHz idle speed?
I have had my system built for about 6 weeks. Asus P6T, i7-920, Corsair DDR3 1600. I am experiencing intermittent blue screens. I have never actually witness the screen go blue and collect a minidump, but once in a while I'll step away and the sneaky bitch blue screens while I'm not looking...

Gaming rig for sale, $520 shipped to lower 48.
Selling my gaming rig, as I have upgraded. I should mention that I am not a big gamer, so I have not run this rig much. I have mostly used other PCs when not gaming, so I would say the rig is lighly used and can provide plenty of gaming...
Thinking of upgrading to SLI and adding a second GTX280. I purchased my 280 in Oct 2008 and to my surprise, many 280 parts have come and gone since then.

I purchased used Orange Box from seller on Ebay. I asked specifically about key, he said it was good. When I installed, I got 'duplicate CD key' message and could not proceeded. Ebay seller not returning emails any longer. Am I screwed?
I installed Visual Studio 2010, followed by SQL Express 2008 SP1, then SQL Express Mgt Studio late last night.
This morning I booted up and the CPU has been at 25 - 50% utilization ever since. Even after reboot. I see MS Installer is busy. Doing what? I don't know. I cant run other...
I know I'm a bit late to the game, but all of the sudden I got the Blue Ray bug and want to build a system to record and play BD movies. I will not invest in tuner just yet since I don't have a set top box. Just movies for now.
Any suggestions for improving the wish list?
I am considering running two loops, one for yet to be obtained i7 CPU, and second loop for GTX280 GPU. I need advice on the GPU loop.
I would like to cool the GPU with a PA120.3, but would require some chop, cut, rebuilding to get the radiator to fit in the case. A PA120.2 would go in by...
Will my Seasonic S12-600 be enough power for GTX280?
I am running an E8400 @ 4.0 GHz, one hard drive and water pump.
If so, how do I connect PCIe? 280 comes with (2 six pin to 1 eight pin PCIe) adapter and (2 molex to 1 six pin PCIe) adapter. Since the S12-600 only has two six pin PCIe...
I purchased an openbox ASUS P5E-VM HDMI and to my surprise it came with no heatsink on the northbridge. I want to buy the northbridge heatsink for this board, or an aftermarket that is as good or better than the stock heatsink.
I am very happy with this MB, but I have an issue with on board audio. Asus advertises the ADI AD1988B audio chipset will do 24bit/192kHz. When I try to set the S/PDIF Optical out to this setting, I get an error and no go. The best I can set it to is 16bit/48KHz. Also I can't seem to get the...

I have had this monitor for 6 months, and for the price I am very pleased. I paid $500 at Costco.

I would like to get a 40" - 42" LCD TV for my Xbox 360, PC gaming, and Movies. I noticed that many in this forum have purchased LCD TVs for gaming and playing DVDs. I see that a 720p Sony Bravia falls in my price range, KDL-40S3000. I have also noticed that the Vizio 1080p, VU42LFHDTV, can be...
I am very happy with my 3007, and mostly use it for games. From what I understand, it only supports DVI-D which my 8800gtx does at the native 2560x1600. I'm thinking about getting an Xbox 360 and would like to know if there is a way to convert the Xbox HDMI to the 3007s DVI-D. Anyone ran into...
I was hoping someone could tell me if this Promise Fasttrak TX2000 ATA/133 Eide PCi 2CH Raid 0+1/0/1

I am wondering which would give better game experience. Upgrade existing system Asus A8N32-SLI, EVGA 8800gtx, X2 4800+ to SLI, making it two 8800gtx. Or, upgrade to another motherboard, like a P35 mobo, and a Q6600 or E6850 (OCd) and run my single 8800gtx. I have a 30" display, btw.
I just ordered a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R Motherboard and a Core 2 Duo E6420. I will prolly install a Scythe Ninja Plus Rev.B cooler for now. I would like to over-clock to at least 3.2 GHz, (8 * 400), try for 3.3 - 3.4 GHz. What memory would you recommend in this case?

My 3007 is looking grainy. Here's a close up. What do you guys think. Is this normal looking?
The white background is particularly noticeable. Games look great, it's just 2D apps that take on a grainy appearance. Here is a link to a larger shot.
There is limited vertical clearance between Asus A8N32 southbridge and 7900gtx.
Can anyone recommend a chipset block that will clear the graphics card?
I just purchased this radiator from ~¥~ßLÅÇK~ÇîrǵT~¥~. It's a 3/8" copper tubing HVAC radiator, but has no fittings for hose attachment. Any one know where I could find a copper female adapter in G 1/4 BSPP or 9/16-18? That way I could thread a regular a Perfect Seal or High Flow fitting on it.
