I logged in briefly at lunchtime today only to see my rank is reset back to privat, with no global points. In game I show up as a private too. I still have the medals and badges i've acquired though.... :confused:

I'm pretty satisfied with the ranking system. As far as the locked weapons go, I think it is a neat idea, however the locked weapons should be noticably better in every way over the unlocked weapons. I love the G3 assault rifle, but i miss the attached grenade launcher. Same thing with the G36...

Took me about 45 minutes yesterday after work to find a ranked server that wasn't full. Average time is about 15 minutes, but 99% of the time I get that horrible stuttering problem.

My record with armored vehicles is 66-10 and still no medal. I got the helicopter medal after getting 20 kills.

I have the same problems. My ping is usually between 15 and 30 but the stuttering is horrendous on any ranked server I play on. Actually had to stop playing yesterday after a few rounds because it was giving me a headache.

There is a delay from when you earn a medal/ribbon and when it shows up in your stats. What do you have to do for the basic armor medal? I'm usually always using a tank or apc, racking up kills, but I haven't gotten one yet.

I'm not impressed either. Every single ranked server I play on I horrible rubberband type lag, regardless of my ping, and most of my friends who play get the same thing.

At least Steam is stable and has options. The server client screen for BF2 is beyond shitty, and for some reason the damn thing is laggy too. POS :mad:

Lucky you :) Something similiar happaned at my work, we order a 23" apple cinema display. A week after we get it, another one shows up, no charge. :D

The stinger missile is heat seeking. The anti tank weapon which is hand held is wire guided.

Like I said in another post, the stingers are quite flaky. Sometimes they work great, other times they seem completely useless. Last time I played an enemy chopper was hovering not too far away, not moving. Shot 4 stingers at it, and not 1 hit.

What's up with that robotic looking glove that one person is wearing, some kind of prosthetic arm?? :confused:

Jets always take 1 hit to destroy with the tank, and helicopters i've always seen destroyed with 2, never seen one take 3 :eek:

One time I ran up behind a supply crate that was on a slight slope and ducked down to avoid incoming fire...and the crate slid back a tiny bit and killed me. :(

You make a very good point. The rising costs of high end hardware is going to turn alot of people away, especially if a $300 console can do the same thing as a $3,000 pc. Isn't the 7800 based off the gpu in the xbox 360?

I have gotten a lot of kills using the stinger missiles, though I agree they are definately flaky. One very annoying problem with them is if you lock onto an enemy vehicle...and a friendly jet or helicopter is anywhere near it, it will veer off course and hit the friendly vehicle...just about...

I'd really love to see how it handles the new unreal engine. :)

WoW isn't a very demanding game anyways..I use one 6800 ultra and I play at 1600x1200 with max settings and it plays very smooth.

The accuracy of the sniper rifles should be increased. I'm not too fond of how the jets handle, but that is because I try flying with mouse/keyboard. You can usually tell who is flying with a joystick as they can rack up some serious kill points.

For the price of the card I'm not very impressed either.

The ones at Tyndall are for training and testing only, all the combat operational ones are sent to Langley.

I agree that the single player aspect is a great part of this game, but I also agree that having it so you can play online with a small group of friends would be even better :)

I kill better at long distances with the m4 than I do with the sniper rifle. :)

Actually it's only 1 squadron that has them, 4 jets to be precise.

I read an interview with Bill Roper back when he left Blizzard and he mentioned that Blizzard was working on Diablo 3. So it seems like they have been working on it for some time now.

Yes the first couple of times through MC are fun, but after clearing the entire instance, including Ragnaros, multiple times...it gets incredibly boring.

Two things i've noticed... 1. Specops don't get any points for blowing up key structures 2. You lose points if you damage a vehicle on your team...if someone on the other team steals one of your jets, and you damage it, you still lose points. I've noticed it only happens with the aerial...

I think it is pretty lame that you can only destroy the artillary, uav trailer, and radar dish with c4. I'm guessing they're coated with anti-depleted uranium tank shells or something.. :rolleyes:

I'm having the same problem with the sniper rifle. For example, one time I was on the ground aiming at a guy who was kneeling down, maybe 15 feet feet in front of me, 2 headshots and neither one hit... Yet with the M4 carbine I can easily kill someone over 300 feet away. :rolleyes:

Try turning shadows off completely.

One of my only complaints is that there is no z-axis for water. It would be nice if you could swim underwater. :)

Each class gets a weapon they can unlock when they get so many points. Specops for example..can get the G36 carbine, which is pretty nice, but lacking the optical scope.

From what i've been hearing, the quality of the textures was lowered for the demo to keep the size of the file low. Whether or not this is true...we'll just have to wait until the game is out. With shadows turned off I can play at 1600x1200 with max settings really smooth. Only thing I don't...
