I checked various locations by phone, and it saved me a lot of unnecessary driving, as only one out of four of the nearest Best Buys had the case in stock. I got the last one in Oswego, IL for $49.99. That being said, asking about the SKU by phone yielded a computer responding three units...
The MCH failure would make sense. I installed the passive heatsink when I first built the computer, but I guess I didn't modify the heatsink enough, because, as seen in the first image, two of the retaining pins came out of the motherboard. It could have been like this for years.
I...
Basically, after returning from a one month vacation, my previously flawless system succumbed to a series of errors that led to it failing to even POST.
The system in question is the Pentium 4 build in my signature. Before leaving for a vacation, I set a system password, disconnected the...
I started folding back in the day when I liked the [H].... That "stage" has long since passed and now I only continue because I find it a waste to just let my computer sit there...idling... I stick with this team only because there was once a time when I enjoyed these forums. I don't...
I just went out and purchased a new LinkSys switch, and all is working again. Thats the only thing I figured it could of been because the connection worked fine from the modem to the computer but not through the switch. I also ruled out cable failure and went straight to switch failure and...
Yet some more pics for you...
The computers that are connected through the switch don't get an IP address assigned... I don't know why though.
I don't see any DHCP settings in the modem, but heres how it worked before.
I don't want to reset the modem either, because it was setup by my ISP, and I don't know the settings the it should be set to.
This was a surprise for me as my ADSL has worked flawlessly since I can remember. Now, I had it set up wrong I'm thinking, so I don't know how it worked. Before, I had a regular cable going from the modem to the switch, and then the switch distributed the connection to 2 computers. Now, when...
Trying to uninstall NAV 2K5 so I can either install NAV 2K6 or some other scanner that wont give me these problems... Anyway, heres what happens right when I click uninstall. Help me get this crap off of my hdd
I just planned on smoothing everything out and painting it metallic blue. This will be a simple one. I have 8 more to play with if I feel like modding some more. :D
The first coat didn't seem like it came out to well because I put just a little too much hardener in and I didnt get time to spread it as well as I liked so I sanded it down and did a second coat which spread much nicer. On the final product I was wondering if I needed to sand it any more near...
It seems that my memory isn't available anymore. I checked my order history for newegg and on 6/22/03 I ordered "DDRAM 512MB 32MX8 PC-3500C2 COR% - OEM" which I'm guessing is my memory and when I click on it, it only takes me to memory in general... I have long since left the overclocking...
I think he is talking about the Freak Barrel Kit for paintballing. Has so many inserts that it requires a case. That's all I know... Sorry. :p
I'm tryin to help out my friend here with her laptops random shut down issue. What seems to be happening is whenever a load or stress is put on the CPU, it shuts down. I had her run Prime95 and the computer shut down. This just recently started happening. My theories are that it is an...
Well, I think it would be a bit fun to try to cause the interference that causes the undesired operation it is talking about on the TI-83/TI-83 Plus calculator. Would be a good project and would teach me something in the process.
Well, I was just wondering what everybodies load time are for the maps. Still seems to take a little bit longer than it should with all settings on high. I have the preload character crap off too. Post away!
12832 with this rig running stock speeds. I'm sure the program must of just been buggy. No way 700mhz would of added that many more points to my score. Then again, pausing F@H gave me 2k points more. I am not going to back down though. I remeber reading 24-25k scores. Had to of been a...
*Shrugs* I don't know what the hell I did. It was 6 months ago so it could of been 24-25K. I don't have my tornados running full speed anymore, so I couldn't do a test to see if it was just a fluke. Before I switch fans(or if) I'll run it again. 21k sounds like it would fit me, but my...
Weird. My 9500np got 25k. That was just with wiz drivers, and no OC on the card. CPU was oc'ed to 3.1ghz. And I also ran the program stock like you. Weird...
Well can I have it then?:D
I don't know why the clips would of had to of been pushed hard. I just squeezed mine with needle nose pliars and it went right through.
Voodoo 3 3000 >>>>>>> ATI 9500
Didn't really notice too much of a difference. Just more options with the new card. The Voodoo 3 is still running strong after 4~ years operation. Hope it never dies!
Read up a bit on nanotherm, and it seems to have some problems. Most common I've heard of were oxidizing. Not good. Its temps were like 2 celsius lower than AS though.
