I paid $5 for the game on steam and I feel like I was ripped off... The game was just not very fun and I only bought it because it was $5. Make a good game (or any product) and people will pay, why is this a hard concept for people to understand lol...
Newegg's customer support is really starting to be shit. I have had numerous times that I was very frustrated with their level of service. This is one reason I don't buy much of anything from them anymore. Not to mention I can get better prices elsewhere with much better return policies on top...
Great review as usual guys! Any time line on the overclocking article? Which is the one I am waiting for the most. Any plans for watercooling them as well? I have a feeling these cards may do very well with "custom cooling" that lowers temps to allow the dynamic overclocking to push the card harder?
Just double checked mine and I have no dust. Zero back light bleed and 1 stuck red pixel in the top left (about 1 1/2 inch from the top and 1/2 inch from the left side). I am pretty sure I am going to stick with this one as I don't feel like playing with the lottery since the chance to get a...
Finally got my SA850 27" beast to replace my 2405fpw that I have had forever (bought the day it was released). All I can say is holy freaking crap! The amount of color that this monitor is putting out compared to my old Dell is just astounding... Also the text clarity compared to the Dell is...
I think the price is a bit high for a 27, but really you won't know until they come out and they are reviewed and in users hands. Maybe they are the perfect LCD, but I highly doubt it.
Looks like there is no Vesa mount which is a deal breaker for me.
How cheap?

Depending on the condition of her vision, lower resolutions and larger screen sizes are usually preferred the worse someone's vision is.
You need to be more specific on what you want. Are you only gaming 24/7 or do you watch movies, do a lot of text work, photography, etc? Best under $1000 is very vague depending what you actually want to use it for.
Yea, pretty much just BLB. I have read quite a few threads around the forums and that seems to be the only issue and only a very few that had dead pixel(s).
Well, I bit the bullet on one of these this evening in the 27" flavor! Bought from Amazon so I could return if there are issues or I just plain don't like it with no hassle. I am coming from a Dell 2405fpw that has served me well for many years (bought it the day it came out for around $1100)...
Really? I have never been able to do it successfully. It always seems to black out the secondary screen. If it means anything I have only owned Nvidia cards so far and non have worked.
The one thing I would like to know that this can do is if it can play a movie/tv show (AVI etc) fullscreen while also playing a fullscreen game on a second monitor.
Newegg made a lier out of me!
They just posted 2 more cards.

Enjoy!
Thanks for the great write-up. Now to decide on 1 of these or if and when nvidia comes out with something. With the multimonitor setup on ATI, does anyone know if that enables say 1 monitor to display a fullscreen movie while the other playing a fullscreen videogame? If ATI can do this I AM...
I have 0 burn in on my plasma running at around 300 hours up time now. first 100 hours on a panasonic is the "burn-in" period so keep settings below 50% (brightness, picture) so as to not burn in the screen. Also make sure you have the pixel orbiter turned on and you are golden. Like I said...
I got a Panasonic TH42PZ85U 42" Plasma HDTV and omg I love it. It has its ups and downs. For one the picture is amazing, movies are great, but on the other hand some crispness is lost because of the size of the screen with a 1080p resolution (1920x1080). I went from a 1920x1200 24" PC monitor to...
So far I am enjoying WOTLK a lot more than Burning Crusade. They did a very good job on this expansion so far. To think I was about to quit playing. There are some really cool quests/events to do and the artwork/graphics look amazing in Northrend. I have only seen a handful of the instances so...
I took my Laptop into CC on friday and hooked it up to their 46" panasonic Plasma to test it out. It was so damn clear at 1280x800 (all the laptop would do in 16:9) that when I got home I order the 42" model (they didnt have any instock and they were $400 cheaper at tigerdirect). I hope to get...
Well I just bought a 42" plasma the other day, should be here wednesday. I tried it out in CC with my laptop and was amazed at how clear the text actually was compared to years ago. If I remember I will post back here with how it goes.
As many have argued before, I will take quality over size.
I stopped out at CC to check out the 42", well they only had the 46" in stock (same model just 4inches bigger). They had it hooked up directly to a blue ray player (which was not shared with any other TVs) and the video looked grainy...
Panasonic 42" VIERA Plasma HDTV - TH-42PZ85U - $1050.22
or
Panasonic 32" VIERA LCD HDTV - TC-32LZ800 - $842.97
or... other suggestions
Hmmm I'm stumped... I can get both of them for about the same price, the 42" being slightly more. Both are a little salty, but I know you gotta pay to...
My parents recently had a great expirence there. They bought a video camera a few years ago 2-3 and got the extended protection plan. Well they couldnt fix it so they gave us exactly what we paid for it the day of purchase plus the protection plan and all the accessories. We walked away with...
I currently have a Dell 2405FPW that I have had since the day they came out, paid around $1100 for it. At the time is was a GREAT investment of my money and haven't looked back. Well now dead pixels are starting to appear on my monitor and it sucks. I have a series of dead pixels about 1.5inches...
I would say wait if you can. I personally want to see what the new DS can do and at what final price point compared to the Planar. Now I have a Dell 2405FPW so I can hold out, you guys may not be in the same boat.
You guys need to chill out. For starters they never gave a release date everything here has been rumors. Did anyone talk directly to DS and get a date? If I remember someone said they DS said beginning of Sept was when they were looking to have it out, but no hard release date. 2ndly if this...
I would recommend each of you should go work at any of the above shipping companies. Then not feel uneasy anytime you order something shipped through them, lol. I worked FedEx for a few years and I cring every time I open my packages, but I know that the shipper will be paying for any damaged...
I have never heard of behind the monitor, but you should have some light in the room to reduce eye strain. The brighter the monitor the more light you should have. Now any gamer or movie watcher will tell you less light is better, but it isn't better for you.
Light + Monitor = reflections so...
Please post back with how you like it compared to the 2408wfp as I have a 2405fpw and debating on getting a 2408wfp or the new DS-265w to sit beside it.
