Eh...this short film makes me glad they won't do a Half-Life movie. They didn't even do the headcrab zombie right. They're supposed to be screaming/moaning as if the human part is still in pain, not growl like a typical zombie...
That's at least what I got from the game whenever I saw one -...
I wish him luck on the game, but to me, at first glance, this just looks like a Minecraft sandbox with updated graphics. Of course, maybe that's what people want. ;)
I didn't use any bootloader - just Windows 7 and then Hyperspin auto loads (it's shelled into Windows in place of explorer.exe).
I was sort of disappointed that I didn't get to make the cartridge "do" anything. In the NES build I had used the cart to hold the harddrive, so it had a function...
It's Windows 7 Pro due to the fact that Hyperspin will only run on Windows. I used msconfig to hide the boot logo, shelled Hyperspin in place of explorer.exe, and did some minor dll hacking to remove the login messages. There are guides all over the internet on how to hide Windows - esp in the...
Thanks. I took your advice and improved the voice-over stuff. I actually found that the way I was recording the voice-over was part of the issue - ended up using a different mic and what a world of difference that made.
Appreciate the kudos everyone.
For fans of Star Trek (like myself), you should visit redlettermedia.com and look at his reviews. He probably gives the best "fan" perspective when it comes to looking at all the Star Trek TNG movies (which I mostly didn't like) and the new one.
Just to follow-up on this - I was able to make my own cable for the connector. It was pretty easy actually. I'm glad Intel provided this 1x2 connector for us. This is a great motherboard!
I know that ATT has a large call center in Austin - it used to be the Wayport call center before they bought out Wayport, but I'm not 100% sure what the call center is used for. It keeps growing though - I know a lot of people that work there.
Hey all. I've been asking this over in the motherboard forums, but thought I might try this section to see if I can get some advice from the power gurus. I really just need confirmation if the solution I'm proposing would work.
I have an Intel DH61AG for a project I'm doing. This...
This might be easier than I thought at first. But maybe someone here can confirm. So, I can purchase the molex male connector (here) with the compatible molex female terminals to fit inside it (here). Each terminal would consist of one wire (so one ground, one for 19V). Run those wires to a...
Well...might as well post my progress on this so others won't have to suffer. Will try not to spam.
So here is what I have found for those interested. The first thing I ran across won't work since it is 12V, but I think I've found a power brick with the correct pin connector.
Intel has...
Well, I found some angled connectors made by BixPower, but it's still too long for a solution. This really sucks, because everything else is in place. I just can't find a solution to run the power...
EDIT: The solution for the 1x2 connector seems easy enough, but not sure where to begin...
Well, seems like there is no solution out there for the internal connector. So what about this: extension cord (male to female) for a 7.4mm OD * 5.1mm (or can be 5.08mm) ID jack? I can find plenty of DC extension cables, but none for specifically this size. Anyone know if they exist?
EDIT...
I was looking into getting this Intel motherboard. I read that you can use a 1x2 internal power connector to the board (it doesn't not have a standard ATX connector), or just use a AC/DC powerbrick on the existing power jack for the motherboard.
Being that this is going into a heavily modded...
I did look into AMD fusion actually. But like ATOM, it just doesn't have enough horsepower to run Hyperspin with all the features I want enabled. I debated this one a lot - do I go with something like ATOM/AMD Fusion and accept having Hyperspin without all the features I want, or do I go big...
Yeah, it's def contrived. So I guess I should just take out the drama, at least in the voice parts (like someone else said earlier). That makes sense. The voice-acting is new to me, so it's fun to experiment with. That's why I like to spend so much time with these videos, feels partially...
Which part does it get annoying? Is it just certain parts? I ask because I want to improve the last video when I make it. Do certain parts sound ok?
Another question I wanted to put out to [H] is what CPU heatsink do you all think I should go with? I wanted to go passive. The one I'm...
Sorry, I re-read this and thought under the case instead of under the mobo. My thought was cabling in the lid somehow - I'm worried that underneath the mobo will get too hot, and there isn't much room under it anyway.
Hello all,
I am trying to build a custom PC and am using the onboard power for the Zotac IONITX-A-U motherboard. I need to extend the onboard power jack with an extension cord, but I cannot find the size of the jack anywhere on the internet or within the supplied manual. Does anyone happen...
Well, even with the E5300, which I thought would be overpowered for a box like this, isn't enough to run Hyperspin with all the bells and whistles. Or maybe it's the onboard Geforce 9300 (which again, way overpowered for just playing NES, but Hyperspin is another story). In any case, I had to...
I couldn't believe no one had made a Mega Man 2 game theme for Hyperspin. I just couldn't let that pass. I might spruce it up a bit and make it downloadable on their site.
It's very quiet. There is only one fan, the CPU fan, and I have it running at about 40% speed at all times. My fiancée and I were playing the box on Saturday at her place, and even in total silence you can't hear the box at all, even when sitting right next to it. So...about as loud as...
@ SonicTron
Yes any NES controller will work. I modded the controller ports to be an actual USB device, instead of the controller itself being the device. The way that is accomplished is, yes, via a controller board (or a chip really) in between the mobo and NES controller port. That's why...
It's Hyperspin. Sorry, my voice is really low-key, so probably hard to hear me say it in the video. You can check it out at hyperspin-fe.com.
Thanks for the kudos all.
